The van sped across the road, but Rosalie had no idea where the car was going as she was blindfolded. The van drove for a long time, until she felt herself being dragged out and pulled along an uneven road.
She didn’t know where she was, but she could hear the sound of the wind blowing. She felt herself pushed into a musty-smelling place and thrown on the ground.
“Take turns to watch her. Don’t let this wench run or die, or we won’t be able to get the money.”
“Bro, will her family call the police?”
“They wouldn’t have the guts to! If they do, I’ll kill this bitch.”
“Come to think of it…” he went on after pondering for a moment, “better to be safe than sorry. Come here.”
The other man approached him, and he whispered something into his ear. He spoke so softly, Rosalie couldn’t hear what he said.
The other man nodded and said, “Sure, got it. I’ll get on it right away.”
Right after that, Rosalie heard footsteps. The man was approaching her.
She shrunk back into the corner of the wall in fear. Her blindfold was then whipped off from her head.
It was pitch black in the room, until light from a torch shone on her face. The light was so piercing, she turned away immediately, her eyes feeling immensely sore.
“Bitch, I’m warning you. You better behave! If you dare play any tricks, I’ll make you suffer!”
Rosalie shook her head hard. “I… I got it.”
The man left, and said something to a few other people in his gang.
“Bro, this woman is quite pretty. Can we have our turn with her? But… Bro, you can go first.”

At four in the morning, when everyone was still deep in sleep, Christopher and Sebastian were still wide awake. Finally, they received a call from Rosalie’s abductors.
Around them, professionals were monitoring the call.
After the abductor gave him an address, he warned, “I’m telling you, I have men monitoring the situation there. Once they realize that you called the police, or more than two of you come, I’ll immediately torture that bitch. Leave once you put the cash in the location I sent you, got that?”
Fire was burning in Sebastian’s chest. He was about to burst out, when Christopher grabbed his wrist and reminded him not to act rashly.
For the sake of Rosalie’s safety, Sebastian had no choice but to keep quiet.
Christopher said, “I got it. But five million dollars is a lot of money. We have to drive a truck over.”
