Theodore and Rosalie exchanged a glance, their faces filled with shock.
In the video, Yerick laughed.
"Are you surprised? Angry? That's good. That's exactly what I wanted! How could I let you catch Sebastian so easily? Although I've been caught, I had to leave someone to deal with you. How could I let something happen to Sebastian? Otherwise, it wouldn't be fun anymore."
"He must have already notified Sebastian," Theodore said angrily.
"Exactly, you guessed it right." Yerick had already anticipated what they would say, and he continued in the video, "I've already notified Sebastian. It's too late for you to catch him now. But I'll help you out—he definitely won't go to Melrine, since he already committed crimes there."
Theodore tapped on the phone a few times, trying to turn off the video, but it kept playing.
"Don't think you can switch off the phone," Yerick said. "I modified the phone's code. If the video doesn't finish playing, the phone will just be like a brick. You can smash it to pieces, but I would advise against it because you'd miss out on some very interesting news."
Furious, Theodore was about to smash the phone, but Rosalie immediately stopped him.
"Theo, don't. The video of Sebastian harming you is still inside."
Theodore calmed down and put his hand down.
Yerick's voice sounded again. "Theodore, you already know that I'm your brother. As the saying goes, we're family, so we should show each other mercy. But what about you and Sebastian? Shouldn't you show each other mercy? What about your poor mother?"
Theodore's brow furrowed. "What did you say?" Although he knew this was a video, he instinctively asked the question.
Theodore snatched the phone back and continued watching. His eyes were reddening.
Rosalie was frantic with worry. She didn't even know that Sydney was involved in all this.
Yerick chuckled. "Theodore, Wesley has mistresses while Sydney has an illegitimate son. Both of us are actually pretty miserable. But if we're talking about misery, you can't compare to me, so I still hate you."
"Let me think. What else is there that you don't know? Oh, right. The reason Sebastian knew to leave Melrine early was because Aurora told him. But you should have figured that out by now.
"Theodore, even your dead grandmother knew that Rosalie was pregnant. They all kept it from you!
"You were an ignorant fool. Don't you feel bitter?"
