Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1308

Everyone turned solemn upon hearing Yerick's words.

Was Yerick close to them and watching them right now?

Justin could see a camera aimed at them above the entrance of the operating theatre. No wonder Yerick knew everything. He had managed to hack into the hospital's surveillance system.

Theodore composed himself and said, "I'll go right away. No one will come with me."

He then glanced at Justin, as if wanting to tell him something, but he knew it would only be in vain.

Even if Yerick was fooling him, he didn't have a choice. Rosalie and his dad were both in his hands. He had to do Yerick's bidding.

Theodore turned to leave, but his bodyguard stopped him. "Mr. Spencer, it's too risky."

"Step aside!" Theodore barked. "Don't follow me. If I find any of you following me, don't blame me for being nasty."

This concerned Rosalie and his father's safety. He couldn't allow anything to go wrong.

Theodore walked out determinedly as everyone stared at his back.

Twenty minutes later, Justin's phone rang. He immediately picked it up. "Hello."

Yerick's voice came from the other end of the call. "Theodore has left. Let me make good on my promise. Give the phone to the doctor and I'll tell him what to do."

Justin immediately pressed the bell on the door of the operating theatre.

Very soon, a doctor walked out and Justin handed the phone to him.

After the doctor took the phone and heard Yerick's explanation, realization dawned upon him. He hurriedly handed the phone back to Justin and rushed back into the operating theatre.

An hour later, the doctors managed to resuscitate Sydney.

Yerick did not go back on his word. However, it was not advisable to transfer Sydney to another hospital so soon after her surgery.

Her head hurt and she struggled to crawl out of bed. She opened the door and left the room to go to the living room to pour herself a glass of water.

She had no idea what was going on in the outside world. She had no phone or even a telephone receiver and couldn't contact anyone. Although there was a television there, she couldn't find any useful information on it.

Suddenly, Rosalie heard someone coughing. She turned around and saw Yerick walking toward her. "Rose, you're awake."

Rosalie had no energy to scold or even hate him.

"Yerick, what exactly is your objective? To make everyone suffer? What must happen for you to say that it's all over?"

"Over?" Yerick said amidst bouts of coughing. He clenched his fists, saying, "I don't know. Soon, perhaps."

Rosalie saw how pale Yerick had turned and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

"Rose, are you showing me concern?"
