“Back off Coleman! Don’t put your nose into someone else’s business!” Russo roared while still pointing the gun at me.
As I glance at Achilles, he’s looking at me and smiled a bit. Is he making fun of me? Why he’s still cool for all of this happening.
“That woman is my business, Russo.” Achilles’ stern voice echoed. No one’s moving, I can feel Russo’s heartbeat as well.
When I thought Russo’s too distracted, I immediately turned around and twisted his arms strangles me. I kick him at the back as hard as I can making him fall on the ground.
“That’s a nice move.” It’s Achilles' voice and when I faced him, I gulped when I realized how close he was.
Shifting my gaze back at Russo, Achilles’ men were holding him.
Rolling my eyes from him, I started to walk off the place but I froze when I notice my car is missing.
“Where do you think you’re going?” I was stunned more when Achilles whispered next to my right ear, his scent is too strong to be not noticed, however, it was addicting.
“Back off I’ll go home.” I firmly stated and started to walk again, yeah right maybe I’ll just walk from here to Manila. Yeah right, it will surely take me half a day, or worst, more.
“My condo is your home now, Jada.” The way he called me by my name made me glance at him.
“Stop the nonsense.” I shot back and walk faster this time. After a couple of seconds…
“Get off me, Coleman!” I roared as I tried to punch his back. He was carrying me like a sack, me facing his cute butt. Damn, Jada what the hell are you thinking. I kept punching his back until we reach his car and put me on the passenger’s seat.
“You’re too noisy.” He commented and entered the car.
He glanced once again at his men and nodded. My eyes widened when these people pointed their guns at Russo.
“H-hey, don’t kill him.” I managed to butt in.
He completely ignored me and started to maneuver the car, I chase them from my vision but when they fully vanished. A gunshot made me stunned more.
“Y-you’re a murderer!” I glared at him.
He turned on the stereo instead, I shut it.
“Listen to me! You just killed a man and I’ll make sure the policemen will know this.” He lazily looks at me before pulling over in an instant making me almost his the dashboard.
“What the f*ck!” I grunted.
“Look woman, I don’t give a damn what do you want to do? That man is the most wanted criminal in his country, it was a relief for them instead that I made a favor for them.” He shot back and started driving again.
“Is this your work? Killing people?” I asked.
“If you won’t shut your mouth, you’ll surely follow him.” His voice wasn’t menacing but I felt the shivers enter my system.
Glancing away a lone tear escaped my eyes. I didn’t imagine that I’ll be involved in such a crime like this tonight, I was just looking forward to winning the race over Russo, but things happened so fast and now he’s dead. I heaved a deep sigh and grind myself on the seat, closing my eyes. I’m such a trouble maker.
“How did you do that?” I asked instead still eyes closed.
“What?”
“The drifting I made earlier made me lose the race.” I followed up.
It took him a couple of seconds to answer.
“You was just overwhelmed at the thought that you’ll win after doing the drift, you have to remember that it was a race, until it’s not yet over, you have to remain focused.” My forehead creased at what he stated.
“You lost your momentum because you were too distracted by your thoughts.” He added.
I didn’t reply anymore and settled myself, he seemed right. I forgot to enjoy the race as well.
Opening my eyes when I felt the car stop, it was just an hour's drive for him when it took me two on my way to the racing field. The familiar condominium welcomed me.
“Bring me home.” I firmly stated and didn’t move.
“Where? To the Turners? Your dad completely surrendered you to me, Jada. Besides, it’s been a week already. I gave you enough time to prepare for this day right?” His cold voice was soothing for me but I managed to remain fierce and not be lured by it.
My hands automatically turned into a fist and glared at him.
“You don’t tell me what to do, Coleman.” I shot back before going out of the condo and slammed the door, but stunned to see two fully-built men in black, wearing black shades and a wireless earphone filling the role of a goon.
“Get out of my way!” I fiercely stated.
But they didn’t answer, instead, the door opened at my back. I gritted my teeth when I felt his presence.
“Stop wasting both of our time here woman.”
“You’re my possession now.” He added making me face at him and quickly punch him on his face.
He didn’t see it coming and groaned at what I did. While the two goons quickly handcuffed me, I let a wide smirk escape when our eyes locked.
“You shouldn’t go easy on me, Coleman,” I uttered.
“Thanks for reminding me.” His voice was menacing this time while holding his nose that I had punched, it’ll surely leave some marks. He coldly shifts his gaze from me to his men.
“Put her in the storage room and don’t let her out until I say so!” He ordered.
My eyes widened when the two quickly obliged and drag me inside of the condo again.
“What the f*ck Achilles?!” I growled.
“Your voice calling name seems a music to my ears.” He mocked teasingly, even I can’t see him right now he’s surely wearing that annoying face of him.
“Get off me!” I growled at these two men as they continously drag me inside of a room.
They were deaf and throw me hard before slamming the door. I quickly stands up and tried to open the door but it was now locked. They unhandcuffed me but lock me in this freaking room. I roamed my eyes and see nothing, I thought it was a storage room. My eyes quickly shifted to the window at the corner as hope fills me yet it quickly vanishes when I realize that his condo is at the highest part of the building, there’s no way I’ll be alive once I jump off from that.
I lazily sat on the floor when there no other idea knocked in my head. I noticed that I’m still wearing the leather jacket yesterday, and my eyes widened when I realized that I brought my spare phone with me.
Huh, I wasn’t born yesterday Coleman.
