"Grandma called me last night. She wants us to spend New Year's with her this year. Grandpa is abroad and can't come back. Are you really going to let an old woman spend the holiday alone?"
Natalie was confused. "Doesn't Grandma have you? You can go home and spend it with her."
Sebastian frowned. He had never spent New Year's with Natalie before. "We're a married couple. Shouldn't we spend New Year's together?"
Natalie just laughed and looked up at him. "That's ridiculous. Even though we're married, you always spent New Year's with Joanna. Are you not spending it with her this year? If you don't, she'll just find a way to make my life miserable."
"She'll keep at it until you go see her. So, to ensure I can have a peaceful holiday, it's better if we celebrate separately. We're supposed to be getting a divorce. If you hadn't threatened me, I'd be out of the country by now."
Natalie's good mood from the morning vanished, and her face turned pale.
She lowered her head and focused on eating her noodles.
Sebastian's face was grim. It was always that woman, Joanna!
The shadow of that woman was constantly cast over their lives.
After breakfast, they went their separate ways on bad terms.
Sebastian didn't know Natalie was participating in the fashion design competition today.
But he was interested in attending such competitions, as his company was always looking for talented individuals.
He left with Sean.
Natalie and Luna's car also headed to the competition venue.
The competition was held at a venue chosen by the Fashion Association: the Yaro Grand Hotel.
