Seeing how angry she was, Sebastian felt incredibly wronged. He had done nothing.
"Out!" Natalie was exhausted. She really couldn't get tangled up with Sebastian. It was just too tiring.
Sebastian shot up, gripping her shoulders tightly, his voice a low growl. "Natalie, calm down. You're overthinking this. It's not what you think. I haven't bought her any nightgown. I've been here the whole time, where would I find the time to buy her one? She's doing this on purpose to upset you, don't you see?"
Natalie frowned. That was true. If Joanna was trying to upset her, she could upset Joanna right back.
Natalie picked up her phone, selected a photo, and sent it to Joanna.
It was an intimate photo of her and Mr. Wilson in bed together.
[Joanna, send me any more of this nonsense, and I'll release this picture to the public. You're not picky about age, are you?]
Natalie deliberately showed the phone to Sebastian. "See? Stay away from me from now on. You're all more disgusting than the last."
Sebastian was speechless.
Natalie slapped his hands away and pointed to the door. "Out."
Her voice was icy, devoid of any warmth.
Seeing her fury, Sebastian grew angry himself. "Natalie, why can't you just trust me for once? I told you, this is Joanna trying to drive a wedge between us. Are you really going to fall for it?"
Natalie looked at his angry eyes, feeling incredibly wronged herself. "Sebastian, am I falling for it?" she said, tears welling in her eyes. "This is all real!"
Sebastian took a deep breath, his gaze heavy.
He didn't know how to explain. That woman, Joanna, was absolutely despicable.
Natalie took a deep breath. *Don't get angry. Don't get angry. Getting angry means you lose.*
"Argh... I'm not angry. I'm not angry. It doesn't matter. It was never something I cared about anyway."
She turned and went into the opposite room.
After closing the door, she lay down on the bed. She was so tired, so sleepy. A good nap would fix everything, she told herself.
Natalie took off her clothes and lay down to sleep.
