Natalie raised an eyebrow at him, warning him, "That's right. You'd better not get involved and interfere with my revenge."
Since she couldn't avoid him, she wasn't afraid of him either.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, finding her feisty attitude adorable.
"I won't interfere with your revenge. As long as you promise not to work against me, to cook for me every day, and to be with me, you can do whatever you want. I'll even help you."
Before, he had been blind and foolish.
He had trusted the wrong person in Joanna.
He would give all that affection to Natalie now.
Whether she wanted it or not, he would do his best.
But he knew Natalie didn't want him anymore. She really didn't.
Natalie felt he had truly changed, but his change only made him seem more terrifying.
"I told you, I don't need your help. Just stay quiet. We'll stay out of each other's way, okay?"
"Sebastian, remember this: for the rest of our lives, don't get involved in mine. You won't be a part of it."
Natalie warned him sternly.
Sebastian's heart leaped into his throat. It was as if their roles had reversed. Before, it was Natalie who carefully paid attention to his every move.
Now, it was his turn to be cautious, but she no longer needed anything from him.
Sebastian said nothing, sitting silently on the sofa.
Natalie ignored him. He could stay or go, she didn't care. The man was so stubborn, incredibly stubborn.
She opened the cake box on the table, picked up a small spoon, and took a bite. She closed her eyes in pleasure. This was wonderful. The sweet cake lifted her spirits considerably.
"Delicious, so sweet," Natalie said with a smile, eating one spoonful after another.
