[This Nathan guy is a bastard. You just don't hit a woman, no matter what.]
[Mrs. Scott just showed up too. I just saw her get out of her car. Things might get even more explosive.]
Natalie’s grip on her phone tightened.
She didn’t reply, knowing Luna would keep her updated.
…
Wendy got out of her car and walked gracefully through the villa gates, her eyes landing on the pathetic sight of Sophia on the ground.
Sophia’s head snapped up.
She scrambled to her feet, shouting, “Wendy! It’s you! What are you doing here? How do you know about this place?”
Wendy smiled, a condescending look on her face. “It’s me. And here I thought you two were so in love. One video was all it took for him to beat you. So much for his love.”
“I see it clearly now. Nathan doesn’t love anyone. He only loves money!”
“You’re lying! He loves me! He was only with you for your money! You were the fool who supported us for all these years…”
“And you seem quite proud of that. I’ve never seen someone so proud of being a freeloader.”
Wendy cut her off. As Sophia struggled to her feet, Wendy delivered a swift, hard kick to her stomach.
Sophia, who had just found her balance, crumpled back into the snow.
She clutched her aching stomach, glaring venomously at Wendy, her face a mask of humiliation and fury. This was not how it was supposed to go. She was supposed to be the triumphant Mrs. Scott, with Wendy crushed under her heel.
