She had been preparing for nearly a year. The time was right. What she wanted most now was the divorce. After that, Nathan's scandals would surely be exposed.
Nathan would lose everything.
As for Joanna, Wendy wouldn't be able to take her down. The person backing her had Timothy's support.
Wendy knew this, but she would never let Nathan and his daughter get off easy. Natalie just had to wait and watch the show unfold.
Natalie sent a quick “thank you” to the servant who sent the video, then set her phone aside and went back to work.
Zenobia wasn't feeling well. After sleeping for an hour, her back was incredibly sore, so she got up to walk around her room.
The thought of finally delivering the baby made her happy.
The snow and wind outside had stopped, but a thick fog hung over the sea, obscuring the horizon.
A lone fishing boat bobbed in the mist.
She listened to music as she paced around the room.
When she got tired, she would sit for a while. By the afternoon, she felt a dull, heavy ache in her lower abdomen.
But she had read many accounts from other expecting mothers and doctors, so she knew she still had some time before the birth.
As long as the pain was bearable, she decided to find Natalie.
She was so happy that Natalie, a doctor, could be here with her.
She went and knocked on Natalie’s door.
Knock, knock…
Natalie quickly opened the door and asked, “Zenobia, are you not feeling well?”
Zenobia nodded. “Natalie, you were right. It’s starting. My stomach has started to hurt.”
Natalie recognized it: Zenobia’s body was signaling the arrival was near..
Natalie smiled. “Zenobia, don’t worry. We’ll head to the hospital now, get you checked in, and wait there.”
Zenobia replied, “Okay! The hospital has a VIP suite reserved for me. I’ve already sent my things over. Let’s go now.”
