Megan stared at Natalie's stunningly beautiful face in absolute shock. This woman was gorgeous, but every word out of her mouth was infuriating.
Every sentence pushed her closer to a breakdown.
She had encountered many people, but she had never met a woman as difficult to deal with as Natalie.
"Miss, I have no idea what you're talking about! Who put me up to this? No one told me to do anything. I am the victim here! Mr. Spencer was trying to force himself on me. I barely managed to escape, and now you're trying to pin the blame on me?"
She screamed with agonizing desperation.
Natalie thought she was already pretty sharp-tongued, but this woman was giving her a run for her money.
Before Natalie could even respond, another woman stepped forward, glaring at her reproachfully. She simply hated that Natalie was prettier than her and wanted to kick her while she was down. "You're already confined to a wheelchair, so how can your heart be so venomous? Everyone saw exactly what happened. Mr. Spencer was trying to humiliate this poor girl."
"And now you want to flip the script and frame her? She's the victim! Do you think everyone here is as blind as you?"
Natalie let out a soft chuckle, a mocking smile curving her red lips. "Right. You all only saw the 'victim' screaming her lungs out, but did you notice the other victim? He doesn't even have his wits about him. How could he possibly assault her? Does the person who cries the loudest automatically become the victim?"
"Does the weaker person automatically become the victim?"
She was smiling—a sweet, captivating smile—but it felt as dangerous and lethal as a poisonous flower. Beneath the sweetness lay total destruction.
Megan felt a chill crawl down her spine as she looked at that eerie smile.
"I am the victim! He tore my clothes! If I hadn't been lucky, he would have already violated me!" Megan stubbornly insisted that Marshall was the aggressor.
