Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 823

Chapter 823: Age: Four. Chaos level: Catastrophic.

Four years later —

It was one of the usual fine evenings.

Mr. Jones noted the time on his watch, nodded to himself, then turned toward the maid.

"It’s time. Prepare the snacks and send them to Little Miss’s room."

The maid nodded immediately and headed towards the kitchen.

This was routine by now —evening snacks for the little, adorable Winslow princess —Elara Winslow, age: four, chaos level: catastrophic.

Mr. Jones sighed fondly. "She must be painting again," he murmured. "Or experimenting."

The maid froze as if a chill ran down her spine. "E-Experimenting?"

Mr. Jones gave her a grim, sympathetic look. "Yes. Brace yourself."

Before the maid could ask what he meant, the front door slammed open.

Bang!

Jason stormed in, hair messy, glasses askew, and face burning red with fury.

"I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING SACRED IN MEDICINE — THIS CHILD IS A MENACE!"

Mr. Jones didn’t even blink. "Young Miss again?"

Jason pointed at him dramatically. "YES! Your little princess has —has —RUINED ANOTHER MARRIAGE PROSPECT!"

Mr. Jones cleared his throat and rubbed his nose with little awkwardness. "Ah. The fourth one this year."

Jason’s eyes almost bulged. "FOURTH! You are counting?!"

Before Mr. Jones could answer, footsteps came from the staircase, making him pause. They turned and saw Aiden walking down, his sleeves rolled up, looking slightly tired from a day of working at home. His expression soured instantly at the sight of Jason.

"What are you doing here today?" Aiden’s brows pulled low. "I didn’t invite you for dinner."

Jason scoffed. "Who is here for dinner?"

Aiden frowned more. "If not for the dinner, why are you here?"

"Of course—" Jason jabbed a finger toward the ceiling. " —for your adorably devious daughter!"

Aiden bristled. "Watch your words, Jason!"

However, Jason didn’t back down at all. He squared his shoulders. "Why don’t you watch your little angel instead? She ruined ANOTHER date I had lined up today!"

Aiden glared. Tucking his hands inside his dress pants’ pockets, he said, "Then maybe your taste in women is the issue."

"It wasn’t!" Jason held up a small glittery object. "She sent the lady this sticker —THIS — with a note saying: ’Miss, please don’t take my Uncle Jason. He already promised to make me cakes every week. Sharing him is not allowed’."

Aiden blinked. Then cleared his throat. "So? Wasn’t she simply expressing her preferences?"

"EXPRESSING —?! Really? Is that what you think?" Jason looked like he was just one gasp away from collapsing.

Before Aiden could retort or reason, a calm voice cut through the tension.

"What’s going on here?"

They turned to see Arwen walking into the hall, elegant and composed from her company meeting. Her presence alone was enough for both men to straighten. In all these years, she hasn’t changed much, but her aura has upgraded a lot.

Jason pointed at Aiden and easily blamed him. "It’s his fault. He has spoiled his daughter a lot —to the point where I am the one suffering."

"You are suffering on your own. Don’t put it on my princess." Aiden defended.

Arwen sighed. "I left for just a few hours. And you two are behaving like my children instead of being fathers and uncles."

Jason huffed. "I AM the victim here!"

Aiden crossed his arms. "No. You deserve it."

"That tiny terrorist ruined my date again!" Jason snapped.

"She is just a child," Aiden defended smoothly again. "A brilliant one. With excellent judgement."

Jason actually looked offended. "How is sabotaging my relationship an excellent judgment?!" He exasperated.
