Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 820

Chapter 820: Let him stay.

Aiden froze. His pupils dilated slightly, and for a heartbeat, everything around stopped —the music, the lights, even the world

Only Arwen’s words echoed in his head.

I ... think my water broke. Take me to the hospital.

His arms, which were wrapped around her waist, tightened instinctively. And his eyes snapped down at her dress, then back to her back —panic already swirling in his irises, making them go darker.

"Moon ..." his voice cracked. "Are —are you sure?" Are you —"

She grabbed his arm, looking like she was resisting the discomfort she was feeling. "Shhh ... Quiet!" Her gaze darted to look at the distance where Gianna and Jacob were still dancing. "Take me away quietly."

Aiden frowned, but he didn’t argue. Without wasting another second, he wrapped his arms firmly around her as though he feared that even the slightest breeze could harm her now. "Don’t move," he whispered, "I will handle it."

Arwen nodded, exhaling in relief.

But his next breath was not relief. It was rage, fear, hysteria —all mixed in one. But he obeyed her wish. He remained quiet when all he wanted was to shout. He didn’t alert the crowd, nor did he draw any attention.

He simply lowered his head, pressed a kiss on Arwen’s forehead, and whispered, "Hold on to me." Then he tightened his grip like she was made of the world’s most fragile crystal and stepped back from the dance floor slowly.

No one noticed.

Everyone was busy cheering as Gianna and Jacob started their third song.

Jason caught a glimpse, though. His brows shot up before he walked in that direction.

Meeting them on the way to the exit, he asked, "What’s wrong? Is she uncomfortable?" His gaze moved to study Arwen, and just when he would have realized it, Aiden’s voice came.

Jason looked up at him. He didn’t say another word. He straightened his back and immediately turned and rushed out, planning ahead like the seasoned doctor he was.

Aiden didn’t ask anything. His focus stayed as he guided Arwen to the exit. His every muscle coiled tight as though sparing her one extra second of discomfort was a crime.

Outside, Arwen felt cool night air brushing her cheeks. She coiled more into Aiden’s embrace.

Emyr was already waiting at a distance. Jason must have alerted him.

"Car. Now." Aiden barked, his voice low but lethal.

Emyr understood immediately. He rushed and opened the rear door, practically bowing in urgency.

Aiden helped Arwen inside the car with a gentleness that only seemed to contradict the absolute chaos brewing within him. Then, closing the door, he went around and slid beside her.

"Drive," he ordered.

Emyr nodded before flooring the accelerator.

Arwen’s expression was tight. She didn’t speak, but the discomfort was etched across her face.

The more Aiden looked at her like that, the more he felt the anger building inside. "Is it hurting very badly?" he asked, his tone tensed.

Arwen heard him and slowly turned her head, opening her eyes to look at him. Her lips curling up slightly. Shaking her head, she said, "I am fine. It’s not really hurting."

He frowned and stared at her like the moon was falling out of the sky. "How can it not be hurting? You clearly look uncomfortable."

"Husband, discomfort is not painful. Labor is, and I am not yet there." She could feel herself getting close, but there was still time for that extreme pain.

Aiden’s frown deepened.

Looking at him like that, she reached out and brushed her thumb under his eye, as if calming a frantic animal that was struggling inside to break free.

"Trust me, I am fine," she repeated, smiling softly. "You are panicking more than me. Can you please not?" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"You are asking me something that I couldn’t give you, Moon," Aiden said, his expression expressing the struggle he was having inside. "I can never stay calm knowing what you are going through alone."

Arwen shook her head insistently. "I am not alone," she said, her voice coming in a forced whisper. "You are here with me. Aren’t you?"

"I am just physically here." his words felt like a jab to himself. "I can’t take your pain or even slightly share it. And that this is enough to kill me inside."

She shook her head. "Ide, I am —ah," she winced when the car suddenly hit the small bump.

Aiden immediately shifted closer, holding her shoulder and waist, lifting her slightly. "Emyr," he hissed, "if the car shakes one more time —"
