Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 294

The old lady was determined to get to the bottom of what had really happened between this couple. So, the moment her granddaughter Evelyn suggested a plan, she didn’t hesitate—she sprang into action.

Willow didn’t bother to sit. She simply stood there, tall and unyielding, her presence commanding the room.

Not wanting to be cowed by Willow’s imposing air, Evelyn rose as well, locking eyes with her in open challenge.

She hadn’t forgotten her cousin Beasley’s warning from a while back, but this time, she wasn’t the one picking a fight with Willow. That role belonged to Grandma, and if things got out of hand, Grandma would be her shield.

“Well, let’s hear it—why haven’t you bothered to visit Grandma and Grandpa at the family home for months? After all Aunt Laverne has done for you, have you no shame?”

Klein, standing to the side, frowned deeply. Was this really how his younger sister always treated Willow? He felt a pang of guilt—he’d failed as a father. Three years, and he’d never noticed a thing.

Willow glanced at her father, her eyes offering reassurance—she was fine.

Then she turned to the old lady, deliberately ignoring Evelyn. “I’m no longer the Windsor family’s daughter-in-law,” she said coolly. “I’m under no obligation to visit, so if you’ll excuse me, I think it’s time you left.”

Again, Willow made it clear: they were not welcome.

Evelyn’s eyebrows shot up, barely able to contain her excitement. “Are you saying you’ve already divorced my brother?”

Her analysis for Rosa had been spot on! Beasley must have already divorced Willow, but Willow was too vain to admit it in public.

Laverne fixed Willow with a stern gaze. “Is what Evelyn said true?”

Willow’s tone didn’t waver. “If you want to know what’s really going on, why don’t you ask Beasley yourself?”

She hadn’t once uttered the word “divorce.” If Beasley tried to make her pay that ridiculous settlement, she’d have room to negotiate.
