Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 293

Through Juliette—a diehard fan of the STAR—Willow had caught wind of people impersonating her online, using her name to scam others. She’d seriously considered clarifying her identity before, but knew she’d have to get approval from higher-ups first.

If STAR hadn’t become so famous, she could have made the call herself. Now, though, she worried that going public would only attract more attention—her private life being the least of her concerns. What really troubled her was the possibility of causing trouble for those above her.

“I’ll think it over and get back to you soon,” Willow finally said.

It was the first time Ablitt had ever heard Willow relent on the matter, and he could hardly contain his delight.

The two lingered at the café until around three o’clock. Then Willow’s phone buzzed—a call from her father, Klein Sheffield. She bid Ablitt a hurried goodbye and rushed out.

She drove straight to her father’s apartment complex.

Apparently, Evelyn had lost her mind and shown up at Klein’s place with Mrs. Laverne—Willow’s ex-mother-in-law—insisting they wouldn’t leave until they saw Willow.

Her father had no choice but to call her, confusion lacing his voice. He had no idea about the confidentiality clause in her divorce, so he assumed the Windsors were all aware she and Beasley had split up. Now, with her former sister-in-law and ex-mother-in-law suddenly appearing at his door, Klein was understandably bewildered.

Willow made it there as fast as she could. When she stepped inside, she found Evelyn and Mrs. Laverne comfortably settled in her father’s living room, sipping tea and sampling pastries as if they owned the place.

She paused in the entryway to change her shoes. Klein hovered nearby and whispered, “Willa, what’s going on here?”

Willow slipped on her slippers, looked up, and reassured him, “It’s alright, Dad. Let me handle it.”

Then she strode into the living room, Klein hurrying after her.

When Evelyn had first arrived with Mrs. Laverne in tow, Klein had immediately sensed something was off. Still, he’d played the gracious host and politely asked why they’d come. Mrs. Laverne explained that Willow, her granddaughter-in-law, hadn’t set foot in the Windsor family home for nearly six months. She was worried that something was wrong with Willow’s health, so she’d come to ask Klein, as her father, what was going on.
