Felix beamed and agreed, "Thank you, Isabel."
Isabel checked the data, saw no issues, and asked, "Has the shipment been sent to the hospital?"
Felix Lane said, "One batch has already been delivered to Dominion Military Hospital. It's a national hospital and the best in Westbridge, so they always get priority for any new medication."
Isabel didn't comment on that. "Did you pass on my special instructions to Dr. Lawson?"
Felix said, "Yes, I did. Dr. Lawson also had a message for you. I was going to text you, but I didn't expect you to come in."
"What did he say?"
"He said that although he is constrained by the Blackwell family, his loyalty will always be with you."
Isabel didn't really need such a pledge of loyalty from Dr. Lawson.
But she would always remember the help he had given her.
"Tell him I got the message."
Before she left, she added, "Don't forget, New Year's Eve dinner. I make great ravioli."
Felix nodded emphatically. "I'll definitely be there."
After leaving the lab, Isabel called Julian.
"Well, well, I was starting to think my very busy friend had forgotten all about me."
"How could I? You're too important."
Julian snorted. "Oh, please. What do you want?"
Isabel said, "It's the holidays. I'm inviting you over for ravioli."
"Are you still in Westbridge?"
Julian replied, "What would I be doing in Westbridge? My mom's not even there, and Selena's affairs are all settled."
"Then where are you?"
"Floating around on the ocean. Who knows, maybe a shark will eat me one of these days."
Isabel immediately apologized. "My bad."
"You did nothing wrong," Julian retorted, knowing her all too well. "It was my fault."
