Isabel sat down at the dining table, and Oliver stood on his chair, busy serving her some oatmeal.

She reached out to stop him. "Sit down."

Oliver obediently sat.

Martha came out with a dish, smiling. "He's certainly become much more thoughtful."

Isabel just smiled in response.

Oliver peeled a boiled egg for Isabel.

Isabel asked, "How long has it been since you went to school?"

Oliver stammered, "I wasn't going for a while... but it's the holiday break now."

Isabel had forgotten about the school break.

She took a bite of the egg and said to Martha, "I'm off today. Let's go shopping together."

"Good idea," Martha said. "I can tidy up a bit beforehand."

With the plan set, they headed to the supermarket after breakfast.

Technically, given the Blackwell family's status, the supermarket delivered fresh ingredients every day, so they didn't need to go shopping.

But Isabel loved the feeling of browsing in a supermarket.

She used to wish that her husband and child could join her one day.
