Adrian punched him, his eyes narrowed. "This is Westbridge."
Julian hadn't fully recovered, and Adrian had thrown the punch with all his strength.
Miles quickly steadied him. Seeing the blood trickle from the corner of Julian's mouth, he was about to lose his temper.
Isabel scrambled out of the car and quickly gave him some medicine. "Miles, get him back to his room."
Miles put Julian in the wheelchair and immediately headed for the hospital room.
Isabel tried to follow but was swept up by the waist.
"Let go!"
Edmund ran over. "Mommy!"
He was about to throw a pill, but Adrian's men restrained him.
The man looked down at him, his gaze filled with disdain. "This is Westbridge."
Edmund's identity was already sensitive in this country and couldn't be flaunted. Admiral Hawke's authority certainly didn't extend here.
In Westbridge, Adrian was a man who could command the wind and rain; he wouldn't be outmaneuvered on his own turf.
Amanda watched anxiously, but she was powerless to help.
Isabel shook her head at her. "Go check on Julian."
Before being forced into the car, she told Edmund, "Don't struggle, you'll get hurt. As soon as they let you go, go find your daddy. Remember that."
Edmund's eyes were red as he stared fixedly at the departing luxury car.
Even after he was released, he stood stubbornly in the same spot.
Amanda sent Leo over to him.
Leo took his hand. "Don't worry, we'll figure something out together."
Amanda walked over. "Listen to your mommy for now. Let's go check on your daddy, and we can all come up with a plan."
Edmund said nothing, just trudged back to Julian's hospital room.
