Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 126

Robert spat out a mouthful of blood, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Daniel.

"Seems like I underestimated you." he sneered. "But this is where it ends."

He clapped his hands.

Immediately, dozens of figures emerged from the shadows.

The bar once filled with the roars of music and laughter was now filled with gasped and startled screams.

At that exact moment, Graham and his men stormed through the door, furious and ready for revenge.

Only for a wave of people to surge past him.

The impact sent him crashing to the floor, trampling him underfoot.

"Ow! It hurts so much! Are you all blind?

"Fuck, what the hell is going on?"

Graham and his men were trampled, suffering terrible injuries in an instant.

Let alone revenge, it would be a luxury for them to crawl to the hospital!

Meanwhile, Daniel remained bound in place.

Robert casually pulled out a chair, lounging comfortably.

He was fully in control.

Even Jennifer, foolish as she was, could tell that something was wrong.

"Mr. Grayson, what are you doing?"

She tried to move but Mr. Brown who had pretended to be so courteous before now tightened his grip around her wrist.

"Let go of me!"

She struggled but Mr. Brown merely chuckled.

"Relax, Ms Walsh."

Robert's voice was smooth but his eyes gleamed with greed.

"The Aurora Foundation always delivers. Once I'm done with Daniel, you're next."

A sickening laugh rang from Mr. Brown who was right behind her.

It sent an icy chill down Jennifer's spine.

Meanwhile, Daniel's expression shifted as soon as he heard about the Aurora Foundation.

"Daniel," Robert mused, tapping his fingers lazily against his thigh.

"I have to admit that taking down the Obsidian Group was impressive.

"But in the end, you're still too young." He sighed, shaking his head as if he were lecturing a wayward child.

"So what if you're a martial artist? The men outside are just pawns.

"They're nothing more than pieces on a chessboard. Once they die, they're replaced."

And it was all Robert needed to show his accomplishments.

Robert’s eyes gleamed with triumph.

"You see, Omari called it. He knew that this day would come.

"Everything else was just bait. And you fell for it."

But then, his eyes widened.

The man who was supposed to be completely immobilized started to move his palms.

"How could you break from my prison charm!" Robert pointed at him, a look of astonishment on his face.

"You're calling this low-level trinket a prison?"

Then he looked Robert straight in the eye.

"You seem to know quite a lot.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna kill you."

Robert's face twisted.

With a sharp wave of his hand, he ordered, "Now! Destroy him!"

The men in black who had just driven away the guest in the bar immediately launched an attack.

They rushed at Daniel like ghosts.
