Ryn's pov
"Becca is going to kill us." Ace grunts referring to the damage that was done on her jeep. I looked at him and noticed the crimson blood now soaking the shirt he wore.
He catches sight of the worried look I had plastered on to my face and gives a reassuring forced smile. "I'm fine bellissima, it's not as bad as it looks." He grumbles.
His knuckles turned white as he clenched the steering wheel in a tight grip. We were the only ones on the road and the other two riders who were persistent in trying to kill us.
I looked at the scenery taking note of the unfamiliar place. "Where are we heading?" I asked Ace as he swerved the jeep to dodge the incoming bullets.
"I have no idea bellissima I'm-" He gets cut off when another bullet pierces through the back seat.
("They're starting to fucking piss me off!")
"Stanno iniziando a farmi incazzare!" Ace roars as he steps on the gas looks in the rear view and skids as he completely stops.
The action had the other two riders that were closely behind us to drive into the back of the jeep. Half of their bodies pierced through the broken glass as the motorcycles they rode fell onto the road with a loud clunk.
I took my rifle turned around to face them, lined up the gun with their heads and smirked then pulled the trigger. I didn't feel an ounce of remorse as their bodies slumped letting me know that they were dead.
I turned back around and looked at Ace. "You know you could've warned me before you did that." I stated and point a thumb to the two bodies that were dangling at the back of the car.
He smirks and sends me a wink. "Now where would be the fun in that?"
I let a slight chuckle and sighed. "The cops should be on our tail by now. There's no way what went down would go unnoticed by them. We need to dump those bodies somewhere before we scare anyone who passes on the road." I muttered staring at the trees on my right. Where we were had only trees that stretched on for miles. Where are we?
I decided to voice out my thoughts. "Where are we?"
I looked at the sign that we were slowly approaching and read Riverside. Ace also looks at the sign in confusion. "To tell you the truth bellissima I have no fucking idea." He says lowly. He sounds like someone who would pass out at any minute now.
At the sound of his voice my eyes darted to study him. The bleeding had gotten worse, the half of his shirt was already soaked with blood. My blood pumps in my ears as I stared at him in panic and fear.
I let out a sigh. He was injured and he still finds a way to flirt with me. I hurriedly left him to walk to the bodies that were dangling at the back. I pull out their bodies, their weight forcing a grunt to leave my lips.
I dragged them into the bush that was near not caring that my fingerprints would be on them. I already was in deep shit anyway. I hastily strut back to Ace to see that his eyes were closed, face ashen as his breathing becomes steady.
"Ace?" I asked my voice sounding timid as I began to feel frightened at the thought of losing him.
His eyelids began to flutter as he slowly opens his eyes. He groans and darts his eyes to mine. "Take my phone in my pocket and call Becca." Was the last thing he said before his lids closed and he sags on the seat?
My heart jolted as I brought my hands to his neck where I could feel the pulse careful not to hurt his wounded shoulder. I let out a relieved breath when I got confirmation that he was still alive. The pulse was weak but it was still there.
I did what he asked and took out his phone. I looked through his contacts and when I spotted Becca I didn't waste another second in calling her. She answers on the first ring. "Thank god Ace, where are you?" She rushes through the phone.
I tugged at my strands as I looked at Ace's condition. I feared the worst. Those few days I had spent with him had made me grow fond of the brute. And I was certain that I had fallen for him. "Becca it's Ryn, we have a huge problem." I muttered.
