Badboy Ace novel Chapter 48

Ryn's pov

Ace stares at her without an ounce of emotion before speaking. "We want to know when the shipment will be leaving the dock."

She looks back and forth between us before shrugging nonchalantly. "I don't know what you're talking about Reed."

Ace jaw ticks in rage and before I knew it he was before her holding a gun to her temple. "Don't play dumb with me Leila, when the fuck is the shipment leaving?" He roars and cocks the gun.

Her eyes widen in fear and she shrinks more into the dirty couch. I rolled my eyes and decided to intervene. "Ace you're scaring her."

He looks back at me and smirks. "Don't kill my little fun bellissima, I know what I'm doing." He says and focuses back onto a horror stricken Leila. She was trembling, her eyes now red as she looked at Ace and the gun.

"The guys will be bringing the shipment on the dock at one thirty tomorrow. It'll ship by six since they have to wait for Robert. I don't exactly know the time he'll be there. "She stutters and tries to push her away from Ace.

He smirks then chuckles, pressing the gun more on her temple. "That wasn't so hard now was it? Mind giving me a bit more information?" His voice was low in a warning that he was losing his patience.

Leila shakes her head not wanting to upset him. "I can't give you more than that, Robert will come to kill me." She rushes terrified.

His eyes turn to slits of rage. "Robert isn't the one you should be terrified of right now. Last time I checked I'm the one holding the gun to your head. One wrong move and I'll shoot." He hisses.

She starts crying and pleaded with her eyes. She looked at me and I diverted my eyes away from her. I felt guilty for not stopping him but I trusted him enough that he wouldn't harm her. We needed every bit of information we could get out of her.

"Okay okay!" She wails. "The cocaine will be in two shipping trucks. One truck has motorcycles, the cocaine is inside the bodywork of each of them. The other truck has pillows in boxes, the drugs are filled inside." She cries trying to scoot away.

Ace pulls her back and smirks. "Mind telling us the number plate of these shipping trucks?"

She gulps looking alarmed at the black look Ace had plastered on his face. "PG88 and the other is M883. Okay that's all I know move the gun away from me." She rushes out.

Ace pulls away chuckling and puts his gun back in the waistband of his jeans. "Good girl, but listen, if I find out you have given me wrong information I'll come back to finish what I started and trust me I'll find you wherever you are." Ace warns and backs away from her to stand beside me.

I looked at him, he nods telling me that we were done here. We started to walk away when the splitting sound of a bullet pierced through the door and breaks one of her ornaments. Both Ace and I dive down on the floor, on opposite sides of the door that was now a target for bullets.

I let go of Ace running towards her and fall on my knees beside her bleeding body. I heard more gunshots and looked back to see Ace had shot the man who had shot Leila. I turn my attention to her to see that her eyes were slowly closing.

"Stay with me Leila!" I yelled putting pressure on her wound. It was useless because the bleeding kept getting worse.

"She's dead Ryn, come on we need to leave now!" Ace yells looking at the doorway.

I stared at Leila in pity and watched what she had firmly clutched in her arms. It was her and Gustin's wedding photo. She had gone back for this photo. My heart squeezes in pain as I give her one last look before getting up and walking to Ace who was waiting for me.

He looks at me before walking to the doorway and peeks out. "It's clear." He informs stepping over the bodies. He tells me to follow him still holding the gun up in case another one of the men decided to grace us with their unwanted presence.

I stepped over the bodies of the dead men and looked at the hallway. It was oddly quiet like no one lived here. They occupants probably had gone to hiding when they heard the gunshots.

We walked in the direction of the stairs and started to descend down, making sure our footsteps were low and we wouldn't be detected quickly. Ace walks at the front of me, keeping his gun aiming forward.
