Baby I'm A Sinner novel Chapter 25

I was halfway through my second chicken strip when Lucas lifted his head up from his fries and looked at someone behind me.

I turned my head to see Harry approaching, smiling from ear to ear with a fond expression on his face. His eyes fell on me and he was confused for a moment, before he smiled again. He was wearing black skinny jeans, a blue Nike tank top and a jean jacket. And oh God, he had a black farmers hat on.

"Hey." He said and sat down next to me, across from Lucas, who bit his lip.

"Harold." Lucas teased and pushed Harry's plate towards him. "Late as always."

"Lucas." Harry replied and Noah rolled his eyes, diverting his attention to me.

"So what's this I hear about Luke not being able to go down on you properly?" he asked.

I blushed. "What? Where did you hear that?"

"Jake needs to learn how to be more discreet." He laughed and Lucas wiggled his eyebrows.

"So what? He'll do better next time." I said, hopeful.

"Sure." He snorted.

"What does everyone have against him?" I asked. "He's nice to me."

"Maybe the fact that he's a fucking d--" Lucas started but then stopped when Harry visibly kicked him under the table.

"He's a fucking what?"

"Doesn't matter. He should tell you himself about what he does on his free time." Noah said.

"I hate it when you act all secretive and stuff. I'm going to ask him about it when he comes home."

"Where is he exactly?"

"He's with his parents In London." I said and they seemed to know about it, thank God.

We finished eating half an hour later, and by the time it was dark we were already back outside, waiting for a taxi. It was twenty past nine and it was starting to get really cold outside, but the only thing on my mind was the fact that I was going to a club. With Noah.

"So why didn't Eleanor come?" I asked Lucas, who visibly tensed and took a step away from Harry, who had his arms crossed over his chest.

"She was uh--busy."

Noah shook his head and Lucas crossed his arms, looking uncomfortable.

"Have I said something wrong?" I awkwardly asked.

Harry chewed on his lip before he reached his arm out towards Lucas, but then pulled it back. Lucas seemed to get really inpatient at that, so he just stepped towards him and wrapped his arms around his torso.

Harry smiled and put an arm around Lucas' shoulder, nuzzling his nose into his hair. They looked so cute together, and Lucas was so much smaller.

"I knew something was going on!" I said excited. "I knew it!"

"Well no one else besides Noah and Zack know, and we'd like to keep it that way yeah?" Lucas asked me, obviously happy and relieved he could act affectionate towards Harry now.

"Sure. Of course." I said, nodding. "But, what about Eleanor?"

"She doesn't know. I know I'm an asshole for saying this but I'm much happier with Harry than I am with her. And Zack is the only one who knows too, and we'd like to keep it that way."

"Oh, okay."

I was not okay with him cheating. I would never cheat or want to be cheated on, but that was their business and if they were happy then I had nothing to say about it.

"Is Tequila okay?" Noah asked and Harry and Lucas nodded, not really caring.

"We'll have twenty-four shots of Tequila." He said loudly, trying to be heard over the music.

The waitress nodded before she turned around and left, probably swinging her hips more than needed.

"The waitress is hot." I told him and he nodded. "You can hookup with her and spare me the whole wingwoman thing."

"Nah, she'll be working here until five."

"And we're not staying here until then?"

"No. Around two everyone gets too drunk to function."

"Oh, okay."

"Have you ever been to a club?"

"Not really." I admitted and looked up to see Lucas and Harry already making out right across from us. Lucas put his hands in Harry's hair and huffed into his mouth when he hit the hat, so he knocked it off on the table.

I laughed and shook my head, not really sure what to do next. The possibility of hooking up with Noah was completely out of the question because I had a boyfriend.

The shots were brought to us five minutes later, when Noah and I had already smoked a cigarette each. Lucas pulled away from Harry and they turned towards the table that was now filled with twenty-four shots, on top of them half a slice of lemon.

"Holy shit, this means six shots each right?" Lucas said and scooted forwards to get to a glass.

Noah counted down before all four of us downed a shot.
