Alpha's Second Chance novel Chapter 317

NOAH

I am sitting in Dad’s office, talking with him about new training moves that Vladimir will teach our wolves. He said he saw vampires in the group when the rouges were here, so he wanted to teach us how to fight them. He says it is only fair as they also learn our weaknesses.

Vladimir is a good man, and he thinks a lot, just like Dad does.

“I think it is a good idea, and he shows a lot of trust doing this. It is not a small thing he is doing.” Dad says.

“Yes, I agree. So tomorrow, he will be in charge.” I tell him.

“Awesome, I will be there,” Dad says, and then he looks seriously.

“Can you see him?” He asks, and I know he means Sam.

I have been keeping an eye on Sam from time to time and sent feelers out to be sure he was okay. And I sit back, searching for him, and try harder when I don’t find him. I try a little more, and nothing, and I begin wondering if he found the rouges.

“I can’t see him, but I somehow know he is alive,” I say and look at Dad.

“He must have found them. Now, the really hard part begins. Not being found out and staying alive.” Dad says, and I nod my head.

“And us, what do we do?” I ask.

“We wait, son, we wait,” Dad says.

SAM

I followed the rouges, and they led me through the forest. They told me their names were Jack and Leon. Leon was the one who could not speak, and out of the two, he was the one I liked the most. And the only one of the two that doesn’t deserve to be a rouge.

We walked forever for an hour when they stopped at the bottom of some big mountains. I looked around, trying to recall the surroundings to remember later.

“Might as well stop trying. If the king doesn’t accept you, you will be dead anyway.” Jack says and smirks. I don’t answer at first, but I shrug my shoulders, not showing any fear.

“Won’t make any difference for me,” I answer tiredly, and he laughs

“I think our king will, like you.” He says and pushes on something. I can’t see what it is.

A hidden wall in the mountain opens up and reveals a tunnel behind it. They walk inside, and Jack tells me to follow them, so I walk inside. Jack pushes something else, and the door closes.

I faked resistance because of the intrusion to make it look real, and she told me to relax. And I slowly did as she told me, making it all look realistic.

After 15 minutes, she let go of me, and I faked that I was starting to relax. Then, she looked at the rouge king.

“He is telling the truth, master. His Alpha banished him, so he cannot even see his son and grandchildren.” The small witch says and bows.

“Thank Tasha, you can go.” The rouge king says, and the witch leaves.

“What a bastard that Alpha of yours.” The rouge king says.

“I don’t want to sound rude, but he is no longer my Alpha. I say, and the rouge king smiles.

“Welcome to my home, here. You can start over for as long you live under my rules and help where you are asked to.” He says, and I bow my head.

“Thank master, it’s very kind of you.

He motions for us to leave, so we do, and they show me where they sleep, saying there is an empty bed. I follow them, and all I think about is that I successfully got where I went to find.
