Alpha's Regret: False Mate, True Luna novel Chapter 189

Ferris’s expression changed, his tone turning cold: “I’m not returning them. Take them or leave them.”

He kicked a gift box at his feet and walked into the bathroom without looking ack.

I heard the bathroom door slam shut with a “bang” and just felt this person was becoming more and more inexplicable.

Water sounds came from the bathroom. I sat alone by the bed, my gaze sweeping across the entire room – flowers, gift boxes, a whole room full, at least a hundred items.

Suddenly I felt something indescribable in my heart.

After marrying him, I had quietly invested most of my personal assets into his company. Back then, I was reluctant to buy many things I liked, so I could only make notes in a small notebook, writing down brands, models, prices, saving money bit by bit.

Looking back now, I was really foolish then, but I truly loved him.

He could have bought all these things with just a gesture, yet I was calculating carefully, just to avoid adding any pressure to his work

The water in the bathroom had been off for a long time before Ferris came out. I instinctively looked up and was completely stunned.

His face and body were covered in hives!

“Ferris, what happened to you?”

His breathing was somewhat labored, his face flushed: “It’s nothing, probably the flowers in this room are too fragrant.”

“You can’t go on like this. I’ll call Simon to take you to the hospital.” I said, about to take out my phone.

But he reached out to stop me: “No need, I’ll be fine after sleeping through the night. Tomorrow… I have something to show you.”

I thought he really just had mild allergies, so I didn’t insist on calling.

In the bedroom, he lay down, but his brow remained furrowed and even his breathing became heavy. I sat beside him, vaguely feeling something was wrong.

“Ferris?” I called him softly.

He just made a “mm” sound, his voice low and weak.

Half an hour later, the sound of an ambulance cut through the night.

Only then did I learn for the first time – Ferris was severely allergic to pollen.

Sitting on a chair in the hospital corridor, my fingers clenched tightly, my heart a jumble of emotions.

But the problem was… in my memory, Ferris wasn’t allergic to pollen at all.

Simon walked over quickly: “Good thing you called early. The anti–allergy medication didn’t work at all, and the situation was quite dangerous for a

while.”

Пlooked up at him, my voice somewhat hoarse: “Has Ferris.., always been allergic to pollen?”

Simon was slightly stunned, looking at me as if I were a stranger: “You don’t know?”

I nodded.

At that moment, I felt like I’d been struck by lightning.

A congenital allergic condition could never suddenly change.

But I remembered clearly as a child, when I was hiding in a corner crying after being beaten by my father, Ferris came to me holding a houquet of flowers. He squatted down, handed me the flowers, and said gently:
