Adrian and I walked to a nearby small restaurant.

“I looked into that Dennis,” Adrian said quietly. “He’s Ferris’s twin brother, but there’s very little information about
him.”
I looked up: “Is there nothing else? Like where he is now?”
Adrian shook his head, “The Vargan family’s security level regarding him is too high. It’s unlikely we can find out in a short time.”
I felt an even deeper unease.

“Why did you suddenly ask me to investigate him?” he looked at me.
I put down my knife and fork, my fingers tightening slightly saying quietly: “I feel like I might have… gotten something wrong.”
“Gotten wrong?”
I shook my head, “It’s nothing. I’m leaving soon anyway, so there’s no point in investigating.”
I explained quietly: “Ferris and I have an agreement… I’ll stay with him for a month, and after that he’ll let us leave. There are only eleven days left now. But I know he won’t really let go easily.”
