I ultimately couldn’t extract any truly useful information from Camilla.
I wasn’t stupid–I naturally wouldn’t turn around and ask Victoria. I knew better than anyone what kind of person
she was.
Back in my room, I opened my phone and saw a message from Adrian:
[When it’s convenient, give me a call back.]
I hardly hesitated and immediately dialed.
Soon, his familiar voice came through the phone: “How have you been lately?”
I lowered my voice and said: “I’ve been planning to find an opportunity to secretly take Linus away.”
“Let me know once you’ve settled on a time.” Adrian’s tone was serious. “I don’t feel comfortable with you doing this alone.”
I understood what he was worried about–afraid that if I left alone with Linus and something went wrong, we’d be caught and brought back.
I reassured him: “Don’t worry, I’ll definitely contact you when I leave.”
Actually, I wasn’t worried about myself, but about… Ferris.
I was afraid that once Adrian stepped in to help me, Ferris would take his anger out on him afterward.
“Good.” Adrian’s voice paused, as if he was looking at someone, then continued: “The matter you asked me to handle has been taken care of.”
“Drew now understands better than anyone what kind of person Ashley is. You can have him tell Ferris the truth anytime, or… make Ashley pay the price directly.”
At this, I couldn’t help but sneer inwardly. This Drew was truly pathetic.
He had tried to escape several times before to find Ashley, and yesterday he actually succeeded.
But the result–when he found Ashley at the hospital, she looked at him like he was a madman and threw him out, even calling security.
It was that moment that completely shattered his last illusion.
From beginning to end, Ashley had only been using him.

Chapter 180
Since she couldn’t wait for him to die, why shouldn’t she taste what it felt like to be ruined?
I was lost in these thoughts when my other phone suddenly rang.
“Wait a moment,” I said to Adrian.
I picked up the other phone and looked–sure enough, it was Ashley.
She had sent me a photo.
In the photo, she was smiling triumphantly, holding up a singer’s award trophy, and in the background not far away, Ferris stood in the crowd.
