After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World novel Chapter 1474

Chapter 1474: First Batch of Rescue (Part 1)

The man wasn’t strikingly handsome, but he was dashing and charming.

At the very least, it made Gina’s heart beat harder.

However, she knew she was ugly at this time—dirty, grimy, and sick and full of puss—and she immediately looked down, afraid to be seen.

"A Terran?" Ersat, who was walking, but made sure he was near his niece, walked over. "Where did he come from?"

"Did we stop?" someone asked. They were under so much stress and were so squeezed that they didn’t notice when the carriage stopped.

"Of course it stopped, I was driving," the man said.

"EH?"

This meant they’d be sitting gugu broats here while the mobs were ongoing?! Normally, beast carts wouldn’t stop in the middle of mobs because it was too chaotic, and the beast pulling them could go wild, making things worse for everyone.

"Well, if we deal with the mobs fast enough, then it shouldn’t be a problem," Sammy said as his eyes scanned everyone in that part of the cart. Similarly, the people from other carts were also listening or watching.

"You are all elementalists, too, yes?" he smiled. "Why don’t you help us?"

He was referring to those inside the carriages, as well as the couple of people hiding near it.

It was not an order, but a question, and everyone felt complicated because of it. To be honest, after so many months as a slave, they weren’t used to making decisions on their own anymore.

However, things were better than just sitting there with everyone’s pus-filled bodies! Anyway, most had been afraid of monsters to the point of freezing, but in the past few months, they had been trained hard as slaves. Granted, they didn’t show as much potential as the others, like Gurnam back then, but they still did survive.

Those months of suffering, they couldn’t be for nothing!

The people in the carts soon flowed out. Since they were ’raised’ to be vanguards in a town war, they all had some basic weapons in their spaces. They were mostly wood—with low durability by now—but at least they wouldn’t be going through this barehanded.

Sammy nodded and raised his bow and arrow. A moment later, a few shots —that added wind effect on top of actually killing monsters—sliced the air.

In each shot, there was at least one or two Town-level monsters taken down!

"Whoa..."

"What level is he?"

Anyway, seeing Sammy’s prowess increased their side’s momentum by a lot.

Whoosh!

On another side of their large group, sharp projectiles also flew by; this time, they created a few splashes.

Other than Sammy, there was also Minko, the water archer, helping out with this mission.

He was nestled on a tree branch, helping take down the particularly difficult monsters.

A few rescuers also handed around wooden and bone weapons for free, especially to those who were rapidly losing mana. This saved them a lot of time and effort. Later, they’d even get to keep their weapons!
