Sophia and Ava were the only girls in their generation of the Adams family, and Sophia was absolutely spoiled. Honestly, it made sense that no guy would want to marry someone as unreasonable as her.
“What are you staring at me for? Think I’m scared of your glare?” Sophia tried to sound tough, but Isabella’s calm gaze made her a little nervous. Still, she straightened her back and shot back, “Yeah, bigger eyes do look better than small ones.”
Sophia’s eyes weren’t as big as Isabella’s. She had single eyelids, so she even got surgery to make them look bigger.
“So, what do you want? Did someone send you here to cause trouble again, or is this just your idea of fun?”
Sophia snorted. “No one sent me. I just don’t like you. I don’t want to see your business do well. Are you mad? I hope you are. I’m going to come here every single day and stir up trouble. Let’s see how you run your place then.”
“I’m also going to leave you the worst review ever so nobody comes here. You’ll lose so much money.”
“Oh really? Well, I hope you get the chance to come back,” Isabella replied, her voice calm.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sophia glared. “You wouldn’t dare touch me, right?”
“I’m not going to touch you, Sophia. But honestly, you’re not clever enough to come up with this on your own. So, tell me, did someone put you up to this?”
She quickly pushed the coffee she’d tampered with right in front of Isabella, insisting she drink it.
Isabella picked up the cup, gave it a sniff, then set it back down. “What’s wrong with the smell? Coffee is supposed to have a strong flavor. If it didn’t, would it even be coffee?”
There was no way Isabella was going to drink after Sophia, especially when she knew Sophia was just trying to cause trouble.
“See? You don’t dare drink it. You know there’s something wrong with your coffee, so you won’t touch it,” Sophia accused, trying to sound confident.
