After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 1156

"Either way, Ethan won't be able to trace it back to me."

Since he came to Cabinda, he had no interaction with Ethan. With no interaction, there was no grudge, so Ethan could never dream that he was the one who orchestrated the car crash conspiracy.

He had intended for Ethan to die in that car crash, but Ethan was incredibly lucky and survived despite being so severely injured.

Ethan was truly tough to kill.

In his past life, he had fallen at Ethan's hands. Ethan was his absolute nemesis.

"You can leave. I don't need you here."

York waved his hand, signaling Blake to leave.

Blake respectfully retreated.

Leaving York alone on the sofa, lost in his thoughts.

The rest of the night passed in silence.

Dawn broke, marking the start of a new day and a new week.

Harold arrived at Isabella's place bright and early. Susan was watering the small flower beds by the entrance of Ethan's new house. Seeing Harold approach, Susan smiled and greeted him.

But in her heart, she grumbled that Harold was visiting far too often. He truly wasn't giving her employer even the slightest chance.

Ethan had been in a car crash and was severely injured. He was still in the hospital, far away from Isabella, and completely unable to compete with Harold.

Sigh.

Susan let out a heavy sigh in her heart.

She felt more and more that Ethan had no hope. Isabella and Harold's relationship was growing stronger by the day. They were always together, incredibly affectionate. She feared that by the time Ethan was discharged and returned, Isabella would already be planning her wedding with Harold.

"Watering the flowers, Susan?"

Harold rolled down his car window to greet her while waiting for Amelia to open the gate.

To deceive Isabella, Ethan had really gone to great lengths.

Now... he had only himself to blame.

If Ethan wanted to eat Isabella's cooking again, he probably wouldn't have the chance.

Unless he visited the Carter family as a guest in the future, and Isabella happened to cook for Harold, then he might have a chance to score a bite.

"I feel very lucky too. Keep up the good work, Susan. Amelia is here to open the gate."

Seeing Amelia walk out to open the gates, Harold smiled and said his goodbyes to Susan, then rolled up his window. When the villa gates opened, he drove inside.

Amelia also greeted Susan with a good morning before closing the villa gates.

Susan kept a smile on her face, but as soon as Amelia closed the gate and turned away, Susan's smile slowly faded.

This grand villa used to be her workplace. She had worked inside for many years. When Ethan first bought this plot of land and built this grand villa, he had envisioned settling down with Natalie. This villa was supposed to be their love nest.
