A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 374

Starla opened the video and watched.

“See?” Tanya asked.

“Yes, I see,” Starla replied, a sense of satisfaction washing over her. Fairfax had always been treated like royalty in Marina City, a man revered and respected. To now be barred from a common restaurant—she could only imagine his humiliation.

“So, he must be demanding a divorce again, right?” Tanya guessed. The golden boy of Marina City, brought so low because of Starla—he must be desperate to end it.

“Oh, he is,” Starla said. “He threw another fit this morning. But I refused.”

After all, Fairfax had refused to grant her a divorce when she had wanted one, completely ignoring her feelings. Now, he could have a taste of his own medicine.

“Two weeks,” Starla said.

“Two weeks? You’re letting them off too easy!”

For the Yelchin family, a mere two weeks of this hardly seemed like enough punishment.

“In two weeks, it will all be over,” Starla said with finality. It might only be two weeks, but for them, every minute of it would feel like an eternity.

After hanging up with Tanya, Starla turned to Garret. “They didn't want the free meal this morning. When they come back, they’ll have to work for it.”

Garret understood immediately. “I’ll arrange it.”

“And fire all the Yelchin family’s staff.”

With the entire household staff gone, and her own people only responsible for her needs, Garret knew exactly who would be left to do the work.
