Yardley had paraded his protection of Fairfax in front of her one too many times.

"Are you going to call her, sir?" Rudolf asked.

Before Herbert could answer, his phone buzzed again. Yardley.

"Find out where Fairfax is, too," Yardley added. He assumed that since Elmer backed Starla, she would have access to all the intelligence.

Herbert didn't miss a beat. "I have to decline the three mines in Iseldor."
