A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 1104

Having seen Fairfax's relentless nature back in Marina City, Garret knew that no one could rein him in right now.

Yardley's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Then skip the call. Send our men directly."

"Sir?"

"Make sure Fairfax doesn't have the time or resources to go after Herbert."

Herbert was in the depths of mourning. Just thinking about the day the man had abandoned his entire empire for Starla made Yardley's chest ache. Leaving her with him was her final solace. He absolutely would not let anyone shatter the peace she had so desperately sought.

"Also, go to Marina City and erase her legal identity," Yardley commanded. "Before you do, make sure he signs the divorce papers."

Even though she had passed, Yardley knew how desperately his sister had wanted to be free of Fairfax. Death or not, he refused to let her name remain legally tied to that man.

"He likely won't sign," Garret warned softly.

"Then drag every last member of the Yelchin family here!" Yardley's voice dripped with lethal intent.

The Yelchins. Just yesterday, Yardley had finally discovered the real reason behind Starla's ruthless vendetta against them in Marina City. It was because of their mother! Yardley wasn't nearly as forgiving; Starla's revenge had been far too merciful. Now, he wanted to tear them all to shreds. How dare Fairfax try to disrupt her peace again?
