A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 221

As soon as Melody walked out, Laura came down from upstairs. With a mocking smile, she sarcastically remarked, "That's your precious adopted daughter."

Andrew's eyes darkened ominously. As he gazed at his phone, he coldly murmured, "Sooner or later, she'll beg us for help."

Meanwhile, on his phone's screen was Melody's Twitter page.

...

Melody decided to visit the children temporarily housed in the villa while the orphanage was being renovated.

She brought them snacks from the island and played with them for a while. Then, she returned to the hospital for her night shift.

As she stepped into the elevator, she noticed Tiffany anxiously staring at her phone. She curiously asked, "What are you looking at?"

Startled, Tiffany quickly hid her phone behind her back. Her reaction made Melody even more suspicious.

Melody frowned. "What is it? Let me see."

Tiffany hesitated. "Mel, maybe you shouldn't."

"I want to see," Melody insisted.

Tiffany bit her lip and handed over her phone. "Don't get upset. These people are just idiots talking nonsense."

Melody quietly took the phone.

"You really don't mind?" Tiffany worriedly asked.

Melody smiled and said, "They're just strangers online. If I don't look, their words can't hurt me."

Upon seeing that Melody truly didn't mind, Tiffany let out a sigh of relief.

As the elevator doors opened, Melody stepped out and immediately spotted Jeremy. He had already changed out of his white coat and was about to leave.

Melody paused. She was about to remind him that there were some ravioli in the fridge if he needed something quick to eat.

But before she could say anything, Krystal walked up behind him. She had also changed out of her white coat. "Let's go for dinner," she said.
