A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 565

Chapter 565

May was quick-witted. Not wanting to miss out on such a good opportunity, she quickly went forward and bowed politely to the old men.

“My name is May. I’m really good at all sorts of chores, such as laundry, sweeping, watering the plants, and cooking. I know it all!”

Wayne and Mendoza were still refusing the offer when Sage said, “This young lady is great at cooking, and she can even sing. Show them what you got, May.” May nodded promptly and cleared her throat. “Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high…” Wayne and Mendoza’s eyes sparkled upon hearing her voice, and they both applauded.

“What a great voice you have there!”

Mendoza smiled and asked May, “Young lady, who taught you to sing?”

“My mother’s cousin’s aunt’s husband was a well-known singer. When he retired back home, my mom and I took care of him for a short while. He was the one who taught me how to sing,”

Simon heard the voice and came outside to check it out, “Is Carl Freeman the well-known singer you mentioned by any chance? Master Carl?”

May nodded and confirmed, “Yes, that’s him! How well do you know Master Carl, sir?”

The three old men exchanged a knowing gaze and said, “Very well!”

Mendoza was touched. “I can’t believe I get to meet Carl’s disciple in my lifetime. How is that old man doing? Still alive?”

May shook her head and said dejectedly, “Master Carl passed away from an illness two years

ago.”

The three old men fell into a brief silence.

It would be an endless competition if he started comparing the two. Sage let out a sigh of relief after she successfully delivered both the money and May. She sighed lightly in the car. “It’s not easy taking care of that stubborn grandpa of mine. You did great this time.”

Hunter was relieved upon hearing that.

“What a rare compliment coming from you, Miss Sage.” Sage glared coldly at him and said, “Who’s complimenting you now? If I find out that you ever make Leah sad again, you’re out. I’ll find her a new candidate for a husband.”

“Please, don’t. It’s my fault. I’ll never do that ever again!” Hunter begged wholeheartedly.

He made a thoughtless mistake once, and the two sisters decided to punish him for it. He would never dare to make another mistake ever again.

They stopped by the Looming District to pick up the luggage. Upon stepping into the house, Laura pounced onto Sage and exclaimed, “Bring me with you!”

Sage was stunned. She looked up and saw Kane standing not far away from them and gesturing with his eyes as if he was trying to tell Sage, “Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!”
