LIAM: *have to be there and not here, why dose Jessie get to always have her way with everything?” “Because she’s Jessie, and they let her get away with everything already, so it’s a bit late to try and change it now.” “Yeah, well I’m still coming tonight, so be ready for me, and don’t try to kill me when I come in.” “I won’t try to kill you, you little rascal.” “Ah but you love me.” “Yes I do love you, but sometimes I could shake you.” “Oh well.” “Bye LIAM!”* and she closed the link on me too. I scowl at her too, even though she can’t see it.
MACKIE: When we get back from the orphanage I go check in with Sarah. “Is everything done?” “Yes dear, go rest before the shift and run tonight.” She tells me. I just nod at her. “Ok guys, what do you want to do, we have time before the shift happens at midnight, I know you said that you didn’t care about the run, but what about the shift?” I then open a link to Dutch “Open a link to Trever, I need to tell you both this.” “Ok, we are open, what’s up?” “Liam weaseled his way into coming to the cabin tonight, I told him he had to tell Kes, because I wasn’t going to get scolded by her for letting him come.” They both just smile and shake their heads. “I suppose we should wait till the shift happens, and then leave when the run starts.” “Agreed.” I nod my head and lead them up to their suit. Dutch pulls me in and closes the door. We set an alarm to go off at 11:30 so that we can be up and ready when the time comes for everybody to be downstairs. I open a link to Kes. “Just wanted you to have a heads up, Seth is being a whiney baby, he says he misses you, and wants his friend back. Have you been blocking him?” “No, at least not that I have felt, any links that have come through I have opened, just one more lie from him, or because of everything he got caught up in the whole Jessie rejection issue? I don’t know, and we can’t just go accusing him of lying about trying to link me.” “Well just wanted you to have a heads up on that issue.” Thanks.” “We will be heading out after the shift happens.” “Make sure to bring Liam so he doesn’t get caught. The little shyster.” I laugh as I close the link, and go lay down next to Dutch.
JAMES: Like everyone else I head upstairs shortly after dinner, as I want to conserve as much energy as possible before we shift tonight. I grab Janica and head up to my room, making sure that Jessie see us going up. I don’t bother setting an alarm because I’m sure that my wolf will wake me when the time comes. Striping down I crawl into bed and pull Janica in with me. “As much as I want to ravish you, I want to conserve energy for the shift tonight.” “I understand, and it good that you do, because the first shift hurst like a bitch.” She tell me. I just nod and snuggle her in and fall asleep. It’s about 5 minutes to midnight when I hear a voice in my head. \[Hey James, get up!\] I come to shaking my head “What?” I actually say out loud. \[Get up and get us outside now.\] \[Ok, ok I’m going, I’m going.\] I shake Janica awake and then get up and just through on a pair of jogging shorts. \[What’s your name?\] I asked him. \[Steel.\] \[Nice to meet you.\] I head out and downstairs I hear others moving about as well and Jessie comes out shortly after me, followed by the rest of the family, except Kes, I feel bad that she isn’t here, but I know that after Jessie leaves, she and I will run together. \[Yes, miss little sister, but it is better this way.\] All of a sudden I fall to the ground I hear the snaping of bones both mine and Jessies. This is excruciating, Janica comes close and rubs circles on my back, to help ease some of the pain. I can feel the bones rearrange themselves and knit back together, but it is finally over, I am standing on four paws, I shake out my fur. I look in the direction of Jessie and see a large grey wolf with four white paws and black on the tips of her ears. I nuzzle her and she return it, I let out a loud howl and head off in the direction of the lake. Those that chose to do the run join in and off we go. We are on the run for about an hour and we head back. Once we get back I see some of the others that didn’t join the run gathered to congratulate us. Before I could shift back we hear a loud growl and a big chocolate brown wolf with brown eyes, comes over and starts to rub his body all over Jessie’s wolf Tavia, I learned her wolf’s name from Steel.
