A Mate for the Latecomer novel Chapter 59

"Elle,' I storm out of the house not even care "Elle" I found myself being held back "don't walk away from me."

"What do you want Eric? Huh what do you want?"

"Elle that is not fair, you are not being fair."

I shook off his hand pointing finger to his chest "what is not fair huh Eric?" He held my wrist "you never told me anything about you or what happened in your past.

I open up my heart to you Elle, I did but you never once tell me and I feel like an idiot when she told me about your past while I stood there like a foolish person. I told them I am in love with you and we understood each other really well," he ended throwing up his hand in the air; clearly he is filled with frustration.

He turns back and we stood there looking at each other "you believe them?" he shook his head "you believe them," I keep on repeating but he just stood there. "I don't care if you choose to believe them without hearing me out or not," I sniffle then turn to walk away from him.

"Then what do you want me to believe Elle," he calls out at me but I continue to walk. "Huh Elle what do you want me to believe. You are not even explaining anything to me at all, you do not even deny it," he grabs my wrist.

"Eric, I know I should explain myself to you but you see I can't just open up to you just because we went on a date once,"

"But I trusted you with my secrets despite us just meeting once or days" he counterpart

"I don't know Eric but I am afraid that you would exactly do what they did to me. Eric I trusted people so many times and you never know what they did to me. So I am sorry if you feel like I am not being honest with you now maybe another time but not now."

I try to not cry really hard in front of him "you know I think tonight is best if we could not see each other anymore. It is pretty clear now that you yourself do not even believe your mate but rather hear other people out," after I said that I stop a taxi and went back to the Moonbridge.

I found Aaron sitting on the doorstep of his pack house clearly things between him and Claire are pretty bad.

Suddenly I sat beside me, he looks aside and saw me sitting beside him.

"I think if there was ever a past life I think we might have cross our path and it may be a good encounter," I gaze back at him "so friends" I extend my hands in which her took and there I felt that feeling again warmth and comfortable "friends" he agrees.

I stood up "you know Aaron, maybe you shouldn't hold back anymore, I think it's time for you to tell her how you really feel and explain everything to her,"

Looking up the dark clear sky "tonight just happens to be that night" he glances up to me and I gesture to him towards Claire who now came out of her hiding place and before he could speak I walk back inside prepare myself for bed time. I try to contact Cyan or Aberdeen but none of them has answers my call so I call a night and went back to sleep.

Once again I have those dreams again where I saw a girl who looks like me run in the woods crying then she encounters an Alpha wolf who snarl and call her rogue.

In some way I did laugh at how her response to the Alpha wolf but then when he runs to her with her paws ready to kill her I scream and instantly woke up from another nightmare.

'Why am I having nightmares?' I mutter to myself I didn't have them when I was around Eric or when that threat came but now I am back to having them.
