A Mate for the Latecomer novel Chapter 58

Three days pass and it was finally the day of the Ball Eric has left me here at the Moonbridge. Aaron and Eric have agreed for me to stay here in the Moonbridge and Claire has also stay behind.

She was the one who didn't like to stay here things between her and Aaron is still not so good. I try to be good to her but she always shut herself off from me Aaron and the others.

Also there was no longer a threat against me, it's like the person who did was no longer interest but who knows.

I pull out my royal lace dress and lay it on the bed before going to get ready. All of a sudden I feel like I do not want to go like there is something bad that is going to happen but still I try to be happy for Eric and I.

After getting ready I take a look at my wrist watch and saw that five more minutes and Eric will be here to pick me up. I decided to walk down the stairs to wait for him.

"What do you expect Aaron?" I heard someone shouting at Aaron who turns out to be none other than Claire.

She came storming out of the room follow by Aaron "you left Claire, there was nothing I could do about it not forgetting you say you love Eric," I stood there frozen turning back to him.

"I lie okay, yes I may have feelings for him but I never once love him in a way I do to you," that caught him off guard.

He stood there speechless and Claire cries beating on her heart "you never like me Aaron but I did. I did have a crush on you but you and your friends use to bully me. You never once glance in my way and when I found out you were my mate I run right away. You wanna know why huh?" she shouted at him through her tears.

"I was scared of you, I was scared and I didn't know you would want me. I didn't have a perfect family like yours indeed, I watch as my father abuse my mother and whenever she was absent he even abuse me. You bully me and with that I was sure you will do the same. Remember the ugly worthless Claire huh Aaron. Eric was the only one who treated me nicely in my entire life."

She stood there crying Aaron who is now in tears moves to her but she back out "I hurt you, and you hurt me beyond that. You lie when you say you will wait as clearly you were fucking somebody else and now she's going to be your luna.

Congratulations Aaron on having a daughter and finding a perfect luna," she turns around and was shocked to see me there, wiping of her tears she runs past me.

Aaron stood there now I understood what really happens I guess some part of me was thinking he doesn't deserve her. He looks at me and the way he did reminds me again those déjà vu vibes, I was going to say something when Conrad calls from me that Eric was here.

I just nod at him with remorseful expression before going out of there. Eric kisses me on the lips once I made it to the car.

"What do you mean?"

He squints his eyebrow looking furious "the Exquister Luna just told me something really interesting about you, Elle how can you do this to me" that is when I look and saw Serena smirking at me. It has been such a long time since we last saw each other.

I remove Eric's hold and walk towards her direction and once I reach her I slapped her hard on the cheek. It echoes in the Ball Room turning the other Alphas and their Lunas attention to my direction.

I pointed my finger in her face giving her a warning "whatever you told my mate I know it's a lie" she glares back at me. She was to retort back when I held her wrist tighter "don't you dare raise your voice unless you want me to tell your mate and everybody in here how you slept with Kaiser."

Kaiser is one of the council member he is sort of old and this happens a year ago when I was in Alcader at one of the party I attended that she attends without her mate. Her eyes widen in fear and I smirk at her she didn't dare to speak so turning away from her I march away holding my head high.

Eric calls for me but I ignore him and continue to walk out of there. He has believe her once she told him of what happened because if he didn't he wouldn't react in such way.
