"I don't care what your surname is. Your family name could be Dog for all I care. If you still object, try me again."
Mr. Linden's face turned crimson with fury, and his eyes narrowed. "Boy, you clearly have no idea what the Linden name represents."
As he spoke, waves of golden light began to rise from his body.
Jared sneered. "So you're a fucking celestial cultivator. And what of it? What gives a celestial the right to act so arrogantly?"
Mr. Linden was a celestial cultivator. No wonder Damian had treated him as an honored guest and kept him at his side for years despite his cultivation being only at the peak of Golden Immortal Level One.
"You are dead!" Mr. Linden roared. His body became a streak of light and charged at Jared.
Slap!
A sharp crack rang out. Mr. Linden, who had been rushing forward, flew backward just as violently.
A distinct palm print now marked his face.
"As a celestial, you deserve to die by my hand," Jared said haughtily. "But I will spare you today so you can carry a message to the celestial cultivators of the Twenty-First Firmament. Tell them Jared Chance has arrived. They had better behave themselves, or I'll kill every celestial I encounter."
Mr. Linden burned with rage but could do nothing. He was no match for Jared.
Damian frowned. Never before had he seen any cultivator dare challenge the celestials so openly.
Across the Twenty-First Firmament, celestial authority stood above all else.
Dubhe Continent possessed the richest resources in the entire firmament, and the celestials controlled them all.
Jared looked at Damian. "Release Mira, and I can spare you a beating."
At last, every trace of composure deserted Damian's face.
His lips pressed into a thin line. A storm churned in his golden eyes, filled with rage, unwillingness, horror, and a profound helplessness he had never experienced in his tens of thousands of years.
He said nothing. Slowly, he raised both hands as golden light erupted around him like a volcano igniting.
His golden robe snapped and billowed in the raging divine power, its sleeves whipping like battle standards in the wind.
His aura climbed to its limit. The full power of a cultivator at the peak of Grand Zenith Immortal Level Two was released without reservation, covering the courtyard in a golden storm.
Flagstones were crushed into flour-fine powder and scattered through the air. Spirit trees ripped free of the earth and crashed into the distant walls with thunderous impacts.
Even buildings farther away trembled beneath the pressure. Roof tiles slid down in showers and shattered across the ground.
The air within roughly 1,100 feet became so compressed that it felt solid, making every breath difficult.
Then Damian moved.
He became a golden streak faster than sight, lightning that tore through the night with the momentum to crush everything before it. His palm descended toward the top of Jared's head.
All the divine power Damian had cultivated over tens of thousands of years filled the attack. Golden radiance compressed, rotated, and contracted into a single dazzling sphere in his palm, releasing world-destroying pressure.
Black fissures opened in the air wherever the palm wind passed. A piercing wail arose as though heaven and earth themselves lamented the force of the blow.
Jared did not retreat. Gray chaotic force erupted around him and spread like the tide, enveloping him in gray-violet radiance.
He raised his right palm in return. Without dodging or blocking, he met Damian's golden strike head-on.
The two palm strikes met head-on.
At that moment, color seemed to drain from heaven and earth.
