A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6738

Mr. Sanders lowered his hand and looked at Jared.

"His remnant soul is too weak and is already on the verge of collapse. Even if you rescue him now, it won't be able to maintain its form. It will dissipate completely within two hours at most."

Tension passed through Jared's body. "Then... how do I save him?"

"Only once you've reached the Immortal Lord Realm will the origin of the void dimension truly come within your reach. You will also need ancient treasures capable of nourishing a soul and rebuilding a physical body.

"At minimum, you need a Nine-Cycle Soul-Nurturing Lotus and a section of Chaotic Divine Wood to stabilize his remnant soul and reconstruct his body. As you are now, you cannot do it," Mr. Sanders replied calmly.

For a long while, Jared gave no reply.

His hands clenched and loosened, then clenched again.

He looked into Mr. Sanders' tranquil eyes, his voice slightly hoarse. "Mr. Sanders, what realm did Maxwell reach? Why would the leader of the celestials personally imprison him?"

Mr. Sanders glanced at him. For an instant, something profound entered his gaze, as though it had crossed the distance of countless firmaments.

"When you have the power to rescue him, you can ask him yourself."

After he spoke, Mr. Sanders' figure began to fade. Starting at the edges, it dissolved little by little into the air like ink dispersing through water, leaving no trace behind.

About 10 seconds later, the place where he had stood was empty, as though he had never appeared.

Jared stared at the empty space for a long time before releasing a quiet sigh.

Violet left her eldest sister's side and approached him, concern in her purple eyes. "Mr. Chance, we should leave as well. Matters in the Twenty-First Firmament remain unresolved, and my sisters and I must return to report."

Jared turned toward Violet and the six sisters behind her, then nodded. "All right. Thank you for everything you did today."

Violet smiled with relief and ease. "There's nothing to thank us for. You saved me, so helping you was only right. Besides..."

She glanced toward the place where Mr. Sanders had disappeared, emotion entering her voice. "Even if we hadn't helped, that senior of yours would never have allowed anything to happen to you. We merely helped along an outcome that was already assured."

Jared smiled without denying it.

Violet turned and rejoined her six sisters.

The eldest sister in red glanced at Jared and inclined her head. All seven women then rose into the air together. Seven streams of immortal light intertwined above the valley, creating a brilliant rainbow like a bridge spanning heaven and earth as it extended into the depths of the sky.

The seven figures receded along the rainbow until they became seven radiant stars and vanished above the clouds.

Ghost Seven emerged from the void. His blue eyes looked out from beneath his black robe as he bowed slightly to Jared.

"Mr. Chance, I should leave as well. The Twenty-First Firmament may be dangerous, but the Ghost Clan still has some foundations there. If you ever need help, you may seek me out at any time."

Jared nodded. "Take care."

Ghost Seven dissolved into black mist and silently merged with the shadows, as though he had never been there.

At last, only Jared, Gwendolyn, Master Veridian, and the young acolyte remained in the valley, surrounded by bodies and broken artifacts.

Jared stood amid the sea of corpses and blood, complex emotions shifting through his purple eyes.

After a moment of silence, he said, "Clear the battlefield. Gather every useful resource, artifact, and Storage Ring. This is all valuable. We can't let it go to waste."

Despite her injuries, Gwendolyn began clearing the battlefield with him.

Master Veridian bent down as well and deftly stripped Storage Rings and artifacts from the celestial corpses.
