A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6616

Arch-Immortal.

The words turned the chamber colder and heavier.

Every Golden Immortal dreamed of that realm.

Above Golden Immortal was Arch-Immortal.

Above Arch-Immortal was Immortal King.

Every major realm was a divide that countless cultivators failed to cross even after a lifetime of struggle.

If Jared had truly obtained the secret to reaching Arch-Immortal from the Chaos Sanctum, then no one could predict how far he might rise.

"We cannot let him continue to grow."

The elder from Saintlight Hall was the first to break the silence. His voice was full of killing intent. "He is only Golden Immortal Level One, yet he has already killed Aurelius Embercrown at peak Golden Immortal Level Five. What will happen once he reaches Level Two? Level Three? Higher?"

Ronan nodded, his rough face grim. "He has to die before he matures. If he reaches the Nineteenth Firmament after gaining more strength, none of us will be safe."

Corvin did not answer immediately.

His red-gold eyes passed over each projection around the table.

"The difficulty lies in killing him. Jared is in the Eighteenth Firmament. We are in the Nineteenth. The barrier between the two firmaments does not permit anyone above Golden Immortal Level Six to descend. If they force their way down, the space will collapse."

That was one of the fixed laws of the celestial realm.

Each firmament was separated by a spatial barrier. The higher one's cultivation, the more severe the restriction.

A Golden Immortal above Level Six who forced passage downward could tear the barrier open and trigger a disaster.

But sending weaker cultivators would simply feed Jared more corpses.

"Then send Golden Immortal Level Six elites," Ronan said. "They should be enough, should they not?"

Corvin gave him a cold look. "Should they?"

A trace of contempt passed through his eyes. "Lord Saintlight was Golden Immortal Level Five. Aurelius Embercrown was peak Golden Immortal Level Five. Both were crushed. If we send Golden Immortal Level Six adepts down, what makes that different from sending them to die?"

Ronan had no reply.

Corvin was right.

Against Jared, even Golden Immortal Level Six did not feel safe.

"Then we wait," Corvin said.

Ronan's brows tightened. "Wait?"

"We wait for him to come to the Nineteenth Firmament."

"Clan Chief Skyreach, are you serious? We wait for him to walk into our territory on his own? What if he never comes?"

"He will."

Corvin's certainty left no room for doubt. "He cannot remain in the Eighteenth Firmament forever."

Silence returned.

The projections around the table wore different expressions. Some were wary. Some were eager to kill. Some looked as if they were already imagining Jared stepping into their trap.

"Then we wait," the Saintlight Hall elder said coldly. "The moment he enters the Nineteenth Firmament, we seal every path around him. We will make sure he has no grave to crawl into."

"Agreed," Ronan said. "No matter how defiant a Golden Immortal Level One brat may be, this is the Nineteenth Firmament. The Eighteenth Firmament cannot compare. Experts here are everywhere. If he dares come, he stays dead."

Corvin nodded.

A chill burned in his red-gold eyes.

"Then it is settled. From this day on, every clan sends out its scouts. Watch the Eighteenth Firmament. If Jared steps into the Nineteenth, report it immediately."

The Saintlight Hall elder hesitated for a moment. "There is another question. Should the Divine Kings in the Twentieth Firmament be informed?"

At once, the chamber grew tense.

The Divine Kings of the Twentieth Firmament were the true upper echelon of the celestials. They stood above all the factions present.
