From Orion's point-of-view, it even seemed as if Jack and George were rather close.
George looked at Joanne and smiled. "What's your name?" he asked.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Tripp. I'm Joanne Holland," she answered sweetly.
George was stunned for a moment before he asked, "Are you the same Joanne Holland who earned the title of top scholar of Perthter City?"
He chortled when she nodded. "Jack, you sure are something else!" he exclaimed. "You enrolled in Alnewgo University all those years ago as the top scholar of the province. Who would have thought that your sister would follow in your footsteps and enroll as a top scholar as well!
"Your family truly does produce top scholars. The two of you are definitely the pride of Alnewgo University!"
Although Alnewgo University ranked in the top five on the national university ranking, most of the provincial top scholars would be snatched up by Lightfield University and Tarrington University. As a result, George often paid close attention to the top scholars who enrolled in Alnewgo University.
When he had seen Joanne's name on the enrollment list this year, George had been a little suspicious. She had the last name Holland and also hailed from Perthter City. He had wondered if Jack and Joanne were related, only to find out that they were actually siblings.
"Thank you for your praise, Mr. Tripp," Jack responded with a smile.
However, George suddenly switched the topic of conversation. "Don't thank me just yet. I came up with an idea when I saw you just now. I actually have a favor to ask of you."
"A favor?" Jack asked, stunned.
He wasn't sure what sort of favor George would ask of him.
"You're already a senior now," George explained. "So, you should be aware that the current job market is getting more and more tough. Although our students will never have to worry about being unable to find a job, it would still be in their best interest if they can secure a good one, no?
