A Life Beyond Limits novel Chapter 1061

Jack was stunned when he noticed the resolve in Wilhelmina's eyes. She was really strong-willed. Instead of staying by his side, she would rather die.

Thinking about that, Jack's interest waned. After all, it would be pointless to hurt her further after what had happened between them.

As such, he sighed softly. "I'll let you have it your way if that's what you want."

He added seriously, "Since you don't want to marry me, I won't force you. After all, I don't like you. It's fine if you aren't willing to be my servant. You lost the bet, but I just took your first time.

"Considering our past, I'm on the losing end here. But let's call it even. Later, I'll go home with you. You can tell your parents about it first. Then, I'll inform my parents that we aren't compatible. As both of us are unwilling to get married, I'm sure our parents will understand."

After all, love couldn't be forced. If their parents insisted on their marriage, the outcome wouldn't be ideal. Instead of ending on a bad note, it would be better to leave on good terms.

At first, Wilhelmina was sobbing in despair. However, after hearing Jack's words, she paused. He didn't seem to be lying.

That bastard was willing to let her off.

"Is that true?" Surprise flashed across her face.

Once Jack nodded seriously, she followed suit. "Alright! Later on, I'll start the conversation."

"Okay."

Then, Jack stood up and wrung his clothes dry before picking up Wilhelmina's torn clothes. However, her outfit was ruined, and it barely covered her body.

Suddenly, Wilhelmina exclaimed shyly, "Wait!"

Previously, he had brushed aside her confession because he didn't know they would meet again. But after realizing that Wilhelmina was his fiancee and that they were rivals, he felt it was like a cruel joke.

She probably never expected Jack to be the person she had confessed to. The person she liked turned out to be the one she hated most in the world.

As those thoughts flashed through Jack's mind, he turned and looked at Wilhelmina, who was stunned.

Smirking maliciously, he asked, "What? Are you interested in my injuries?"

"No."

Wilhelmina couldn't stand the look on Jack's face—it was an insult to her.
