Third Person’s pov
Paisley didn’t have the patience for this. She simply kicked the window in, climbed through the Shattered frame, and opened the
Wanda had cammed herself into the wardrobe.
By the time Paisley hauled her out, Wanda’s eyes were so swollen she could barely open them.
She lifted her tear–stained face, looking at Paisley’s raised fist, her lips trembling.
“I’m not leaving ”
As soon as the words left her mouth, another pair of tears rolled down her cheeks and splashed onto the floor
Paisley let go, shoving her back toward the edge of the bed.
Her voice was still cold, but it lost some of its initial bite.
“If you don’t want to leave, then start spilling everything you’ve done. Don’t even try hiding anything–you won’t pull it off, we’ll dig it all up anyway.”
Down in the Center’s parlor, Sandra had prepped a pot of warm mead.,
Wanda practically chugged it down like a stray who had been wandering the wilderness for two weeks.
Seeing the once–arrogant noble lady reduced to such a pathetic state, Sandra let out a sigh.
“Since you actually worked pretty hard around here the last couple of days, I’ll go whip you up a bowl of venison stew in the kitchen.”
“Thank you…” Wanda muttered, her dull eyes tracking Sandra as she walked away.
Then, her face went numb again as she started her story.
“I pawned every single piece of jewelry I owned to pay off my debts, and I’m still not clear. Look, I get that don’t deserve any sympathy. But use your heads–I only held the title of Luna. I had zero actual power inside the Glenveil Pack. How could I possibly pull off half the things the rumors are saying?”
She started losing her grip emotionally, her voice spiking.
“Luna Rowena always hated my guts, my mate wouldn’t even speak to me, and I couldn’t even touch the keys to the pack vault! Before my mother went to prison, I used to spend twenty days a month hiding out at her estate just to get away! After the Shuman family collapsed, I became a commoner. I spent every single day inside that pack walking on eggshells! No matter how humiliated or furious I was, I wouldn’t have dared to plot a damn thing!”
Muddy tears cut tracks down her dirty cheeks.
“When Winslow brought that breeder back to the territory, I didn’t say a word. Objectively speaking, I didn’t even have the standing to object! If my mother were still in power, maybe I would have stepped in. Just like when Sabrina first showed up at the estate- my wolf wanted to rip her throat out!”

I get it–this is Karma biting me in the ass!”
She wiped her nose and tears with a rough sleeve, the sheet weight of her pent–up frustrations threatening try kalde Paper
*I admit I beat and cursed at Sabrina, but she had it coming! The girl had absoistely no limits when it came to sec favor!”
“But as for that breeder, she never did a single thing to cross me! From the day she got to the pack che kept her head down. Wh the hell would I target her?! I had already lost my family’s backing and my noble status. Am Linsane? Why would I go looking for that kind of trouble?”
Paisley cut her off impatiently.
“Hold on. You mentioned the breeder’s mother. What exactly did she do to you?”
Pure malice instantly flared in Wanda’s eyes.
“That bitch was twisted to the core! She used to make passive–aggressive digs at me during pack meetings, calling me the most invisible Luna in the capital.’ She even said that since I was just a commoner now, I didn’t deserve any high–grade supplements, and that they should all go to her pregnant daughter instead!”
Adelaide knit her brows slightly.
“You were still the pack Luna. How did she have the nerve to treat you like that? Are you sure you aren’t imagining things?”
“I heard it with my own ears!” Wanda’s voice shot up, her wolf letting out a miserable howl of frustration.
