A Female Alpha’s Revenge novel Chapter 653

Paisley snapped back sharply, “Then what’s the point of even having this school? The powerful packs and the noble families already hire private tutors. Only a handful will ever get to learn beyond the usual basics.”

Adelaide responded patiently, “Only the wealthiest and most influential noble families can truly afford private tutors. We have to proceed carefully. It’s too early to go all out; we need to take it one step at a time.”

What Adelaide left unsaid was the real issue—especially with more men present in the room—most Alphas were reluctant to see she-wolves becoming too educated. They viewed it as a direct challenge to their authority.

At the Blood Moon Pack, after a particularly explosive outburst, Gloria had somewhat calmed down as her pregnancy advanced. Yet, Rosemary’s health took a sharp downturn as winter set in. Despite increasing doses of medication, she remained weak and fragile, her condition barely improving.

They still hadn’t managed to convince Doctor Digby to come.

On days when Rosemary felt especially miserable, she would grumble about Gloria’s lack of connections—complaining that Adelaide had the influence to get things done, something Gloria clearly lacked.

Gloria, on the other hand, showed no sympathy whatsoever. She stopped visiting altogether, neglecting any care or concern for Rosemary. Tamara was left as the sole caretaker.

One day, Rosemary confided in Ulrik, “You’re now Lycan Erasmus’s Personal Wolf-Guard Captain. How can you not keep your own mate in check? She disrespects her elders, ignores advice, and constantly argues with me. Mating with someone who can’t manage a pack and shows no respect for family isn’t good for anyone here.”

Ulrik, focused on climbing the ranks of his career, was desperate to avoid any conflict with Gloria. Every disagreement left him emotionally drained and exhausted.

All he could do was comfort his mother and plead with Tamara to continue looking after her.

Tamara felt trapped and overwhelmed. “Alpha Ulrik, it’s my duty to care for her, and I will, whether you ask me or not. But I’m not well myself, and the pack’s finances are in shambles right now.”

“Your mate ignores pack matters, yet the spending hasn’t decreased one bit. We can’t even afford your mother’s specialized medicine for next month. Can’t you reach out to Sabrina? She’s with the Glenveil Pack now; surely she has some funds to spare?”

Ulrik replied firmly, “I’ll find the money. It’s not Sabrina’s responsibility.”

Tamara sighed deeply, feeling helpless. “If you really can’t find the money, maybe we need to let some household staff go. Their salaries and food expenses are a huge drain on our resources.”

Ulrik shrugged. “I’ll leave that discussion to you and Rosemary.”
