The mark on the back of her neck was burning. She instinctively controlled her scent, her cedarwood scent as faint as possible.

In front of a king, any unnecessary show of power was an act of rebellion.

Lycan Erasmus’s presence, a mix of white musk and glacier, suddenly swelled. It was an aura unique to the Lycan royal family, and it settled over her like a physical weight.
