The members of their pack naturally followed Publius’s orders, especially the former werewolf
warriors.
After retiring, they had stayed with Publius, carrying the hardened aura of years on the battlefield. Their tempers and execution skills mirrored his—both irritable and decisive.
Upon receiving the command, they immediately grabbed two buckets of water and walked to the pack’s border, splashing them in the direction of Adelaide.
“Gamma Adelaide, watch out!”
Ellen noticed in time, his voice filled with urgency, but before he could finish his sentence, Adelaide had already vanished from the spot like a startled deer in the forest.
Her pheromones, like a thin veil, rippled slightly with her movements, not a single drop of water touching the hem of her clothes.
Instead, shocked cries came from within the pack. The cold pine pheromones of the Mist Shadow Pack’s guards flared with alarm. “How did you get in here? You dare to intrude into here without permission? This is outrageous!”
Adelaide didn’t get a single drop of water on her.
With a flick of her sleeve, she glanced at the two werewolves holding the buckets.
Though their hair was speckled with gray and they no longer carried the sharp pressure of their youth, they still exuded the composed presence of werewolf warriors.
She had always respected werewolf warriors and chose not to take issue with them.
She strode straight in.
Publius hadn’t ordered an attack, so the guards could only try to block her path. Their cold pine pheromones interwove into a barrier, but they didn’t dare release any truly aggressive aura towards her.
But how could they stop Adelaide?
A faint golden glow emanated from her fingertips, her wolf claws flickering beneath her skin. With a few agile leaps and bounds, her light golden iris pheromones streaked like flowing

light, and in a moment, she had broken through the blockade and reached the entrance of the packhouse.
As she stood firm, she heard Publius’s heavy, Alpha aura, wrapped in fury, explode inside the hall. “She won’t set foot in my Mist Shadow Pack today!”
No sooner had he finished speaking than he looked up sharply–standing at the entrance was a young, unfamiliar official whose pheromones carried an undeniable sharpness, steadily countering his Alpha aura.
Adelaide’s expression was calm, a faint smile playing at the corners of her lips. “Sorry, but I did step into the Mist Shadow Pack today.”
Julius leaped to his feet, bellowing at the guards, “What happened? Didn’t I tell you to keep her out?”
“I came in on my own. I waited outside for an hour, and you still wouldn’t let me in. You even planned to splash water on me to drive me away. I had no choice but to intrude.”
Adelaide stepped inside, quickly scanning the people present.
Publius was the oldest, and the two men beside him were likely his brothers.
Before coming, Adelaide had reviewed the portraits of the Mist Shadow Pack members who held government positions, so she could roughly identify the people present.
Among the crowd was a middle–aged man in a high–quality slate–blue suit, his face etched with anxiety and regret.
He looked at her with a hint of surprise.
This man was probably Cassius, the heir to the Mist Shadow Pack.
The man who had spoken angrily earlier, Adelaide recognized him as Publius’s fourth son.
She knew Julius because he was the head of the weapons management department in the Ministry of Defense.
In fact, a significant part of her visit to the Mist Shadow Pack was to inquire about Julius and his breeder, Prima.
Publius, hearing that Adelaide had intruded without permission, became even angrier.
He slammed his hand on the table and shouted, “You’re being outrageous! I didn’t allow you to come in, and you dare to step into the territory of Mist Shadow without permission?”

Adelaide replied calmly, “I do apologize for the offense today.”

Publius roared, “If you know what’s good for you, get out right now, or don’t blame me for being rude!”
Adelaide responded, “At the pack’s border, I already experienced your rudeness. But I haven’t finished asking my questions, so I won’t leave. If you have anger, you might as well hold it in and report me to Lycan Erasmus later.”
Publius, with his lifelong fierce temperament, had never been provoked like this.
His face immediately darkened, and he ordered the pack guards, “Throw her out!”
Adelaide’s uniform sleeves were wide, which slightly hindered her movements but conveniently served as a cover for her actions.
With a swing of her arm, cedar pheromones, carrying a biting gust of wind, suddenly exploded.
This was not ordinary air but the unique aura impact awakened by an Alpha bloodline.
As her wide sleeves brushed across the faces of the pack guards, the seemingly gentle fabric actually concealed the strength of half–beastified knuckles.
Amidst the “click” sound, the guards‘ nape glands involuntarily tingled, and some even instinctively arched their backs.
This was the instinctive submission of werewolves encountering the aura of a high–ranking Alpha.
She leaped at times, her wolf–like ankles leaving shallow marks on the ground; she spun at times, and in the moment her skirt fluttered up, her vertical pupils flickered in the light.
This set of techniques was what she had learned from Ramona. On the surface, it was a series of moves, but in reality, it was a precise release of pheromones to suppress through action.
Without directly using her claws, each swipe of her wide sleeves felt like an icy spike to the guards.
In just a moment, all the guards were forced to retreat by the pheromones, their throats rolling with suppressed whimpers.
Adelaide spun and landed, her wide sleeves falling as the half–beastified wolf claws in her palms quietly retracted, leaving only the lingering cedar scent in the air.

As she sat down steadily, the Moon Goddess necklace on her collarbone was still slightly warm.
