Arya completely lost her composure and shouted at the man.
Orlando stepped forward and hugged her. "Don't get too agitated."
Arya broke free from him, although she was weak.
As soon as she grabbed the bloody suit, a lot of things fell out of it.
The wallet and the broken watch whose mirror had been scratched, while whose clock hands were still moving...
She was familiar with all these things. They belonged to Xavier...
How could...
It's not true. It must be fake. Everything was just a dream...
Ever since the rescuer explained the situation, she had been holding on. At this moment, she saw that everything was getting darker and darker. The sky and earth were spinning, and she lost consciousness, then she fainted.
Arya had been in a coma for a day and a night. When she woke up, she only said one word, "Go back to W City."
Because she didn't believe Xavier was dead.
She had to go back and wait for him.
She was afraid that Xavier would be anxious if he couldn't find her when he came back.
Jacob took her to W City overnight.
The media got news from the police that Xavier might have died.
When Daisy knew it, she fainted and was treated in the hospital for three days. Bridget was also very sad. If there weren't two kids at home, she would have collapsed.
Mr. Jones's hair was almost completely grey overnight.
Arya locked herself in her room and sat on the balcony all day long in a daze. Only when Ramona was hungry and crying could she come back from the daze and take care of her.
After Ramona fell asleep, she still sat there and never said a word.
No one could persuade her.
She didn't cry, moan, or say anything.
It seemed that everything around her had nothing to do with her. She was only immersed in her own world and could not come out.
Bridget's eyes were red and swollen, and her voice was hoarse. "Sister-in-law, no matter what, please say something to rid off our worries."
Arya was like a soulless puppet. It seemed that she could not hear all the noise outside.
A month passed.
Orlando came now and then. He talked a lot, but Arya never responded with a word.
"Still like that?" Orlando stood at the door with a serious face.
Bridget nodded gently and replied, "Yes, it's the same. She never says a word."
"I'll persuade her again."
"Is it useful?" said Bridget and she was hopeless.
Arya simply locked herself in another world and was unwilling to communicate with anyone in reality.
Orlando patted Bridget on the shoulder.
Now that Arya was in this situation, Bridget could only let him try.
The door of the room was closed and Orlando walked in. There was a crib beside the bed. Ramona slept soundly. Her cheek was red and her mouth moved occasionally.
"She looks more and more like you." Orlando looked at Ramona and said.
Arya's eyes were dull as if she had lost her mind somewhere.
Orlando came up behind her and looked out of the window too. "How long will you be like this? It's been a month. Can Xavier come back if you keep yourself locked up for a long time?"
There was no response.
Orlando was not discouraged and continued, "You still have Ryan and Ramona."
Orlando pulled Arya down from the balcony, held her shoulders tightly, and roared, "Do you wanna torture yourself to death?"
Arya didn't respond. Looking at her dull eyes, Orlando felt like he was going crazy. "You love him so much?"
Bridget tried her best to calm down and take care of Daisy.
"Any news?" Bridget asked when she saw Jacob coming.
Jacob shook his head. The police had concluded that in that situation no one could survive.
The answer was that he had died.
Bridget's tears immediately fell. She lowered her head. "It's been a month."
The longer it took, the less likely it was for him to survive.
"Where's Ayra?"
"In the room. She doesn't talk to anyone. She locked herself in the room all day. I'm worried about her."
Jacob reached out and held her shoulder tightly. "Don't worry, she'll be fine."
Bridget looked up at him. "You have a way?"
Jacob nodded affirmatively. "She's different from other women. She'll get better."
Bridget didn't think so.
"I'll go in first."
In the room, Arya was feeding Ramona milk powder. Jacob stood quietly by the door.
Arya finished feeding Ramona and carried her to smooth her back. Now Ramona seemed to be able to see people. Her small round eyes looked around as if she was curious about everything.
After a long time, Ramona fell asleep.
Arya put her in the crib, covered her with the quilt, and straightened her back when she saw that she was deeply asleep.
"I went to M City and came back this morning," Jacob said.
Arya didn't seem to hear it and sat on the balcony.
"I found out who tampered with the plane that day."
