“Mr. Sheng, where are you rushing off to?”

On the top floor of Pacific Capital, Hector had just stepped out of the restroom when he nearly collided with Mr. Sheng, the head of PR. The man looked frantic, wiping sweat from his forehead like the world was about to end.

“Mr. McKee...” Mr. Sheng glanced at the tablet in his hand, clearly struggling with what to say.

Hector raised an eyebrow, taking the tablet from him. It was still locked. “Seriously, is it the end of the world? You’re acting like something major just happened. Let me see.”

Mr. Sheng watched as Hector’s easygoing attitude disappeared. “Is it a big deal?” he asked quietly.

Hector just stared at him.

“Who did this?” Hector finally asked.

“Ruby,” Mr. Sheng admitted. “But I stopped her before anything got out.”

“So you were heading to see Mr. Padilla, right?”

Hector sighed to himself. No matter how careful he tried to be, things always managed to slip through the cracks. All this over a cup of coffee? Was it really worth blowing up into a scandal? If the media ever got a hold of that photo, Cloud Peak would probably explode, and Oliver would absolutely lose his mind.

“Yeah, I was going to ask him what to do.”

Hector smirked, handing the tablet back. “If you want to walk straight into the lion’s den, be my guest.”

Mr. Sheng looked between Hector and the tablet, then quickly backed away like he’d touched something dangerous. “Well, since you’re holding the tablet now, maybe you should hang onto it for a bit. I’ll come back for it in a few days.”
