You Looked Down on Me Once Now You Look Up (Patricia and Oliver) novel Chapter 719

“You said you were in such a rush, and this is where you had to be?” Jackson glanced up at the big SALES GALLERY sign, looking like he’d just walked into the wrong movie.

Patricia didn’t even acknowledge his stunned face. “Isn’t this urgent enough for you?”

Jackson let out a long sigh. “Is today some kind of lucky day or something? Did it have to be today?”

She shot back, “Well, is today some kind of special day that you just have to work overtime? You’re only an intern, you know.”

“I’m an intern, Miss,” he replied, half complaining.

Patricia grinned. “Don’t worry. I’ve got your back. What are you so scared of? You really think I’d let you mess up your internship?”

Jackson just stared at her. Being well-connected really did make life easier.

Patricia didn’t waste any time. From checking out the apartment to putting down a deposit, she was all business, quick and decisive.

Meanwhile, over at the top floor of Pacific Capital, Oliver was trying to look interested while Hector rambled on about some grand plan. Suddenly, Oliver’s phone buzzed with a real estate payment notification. His eyes narrowed.

Patricia bought a place? Why would she do that? Was she planning to move out of Cloud Peak? Did she want space from him?

The thought made Oliver’s heart race. He was still deciding whether to call her when another message popped up. This time, it was from Jade Court Realty.

He turned to Hector, interrupting him mid-sentence. “Is your apartment at Jade Court?”

Hector blinked, confused. “Yeah, why?”

“Chelsea lives there too.”

“Okay… and why are you asking about this all of a sudden?”

“Patricia just bought a place in your complex.”

Hector let out a low whistle. “Wait, is she moving out? Are you two splitting up? I thought you hadn’t made up yet.”
