Yes Daddy (by Red Inkling) novel Chapter 86

LUCIUS DEVINE

I can’t lose her. I can’t afford to lose Lisa. I can’t let her die. I’d rather die than let her die.

I stepped harder on the accelerator, knowing I had to be there in no time. The tracker had already lost signal so I knew for sure that Sandro had either figured it out and destroy it or he had just had all her jewelries removed and destroyed.

So I needed to get there fast. I needed to be at the last location of the tracker as soon as possible before Sandro would change location and fucking make it more difficult for me to get to Lisa.

“Please stay safe for me. Please” I muttered.

Even though it was still raining and it was cold, I could very well feel the beads of sweats that were forming on my forehead.

The only woman I had ever loved. The only woman I so want to protect with the last blood in me. I could fail at every other thing in life but I was not allowed to fail at protecting Lisa.

For a second, the thought of Sandro telling Lisa about me being her father’s killer came to my mind but I shook it off. That was the least of my concerns right now. Her safety was of the greatest priority.

“Please be safe for me”

MONALISA

I was still refusing to believe the words I had just heard when Sandro continued with his words.

“You might want to ask Lucius what his fifth mission was” Sandro grinned at me.

“Oh no, you would not be able to ask because you will be dead so I will just tell it to you” he grinned like a maniac.

“Stop! Stop saying those words! Stop telling me those lies!”

“Your father, Sebastian” Sandro started and took a few steps back, going to sit on the chair.

I looked towards Irene for a few seconds and once again she looked away from me during those few seconds.

“He was a quite stubborn man” Sandro stated.

“Aaargh” he groaned and looked at Irene.

“Grab me a glass of beer” he said and Irene left the room obediently.

Spite was starting to grow inside of me. She brought me here to listen to these lies! She brought me here to poison my mind in the worst ways.

None of these could be the truth.

“Your father had barely accumulated enough powers to survive but he went ahead of himself with those little powers and proceeded to go against those he was just not strong enough to go against. I was one of them” he let out a slow lazy yawn.

“And I needed him out of the way but your father was quite smart. I give him that. Stubborn and smart. To tame him a bit, I decided to play games with his wife, your mother. I only kidnapped her for a day but Seb retaliated. He would not stand his wife having been kidnapped. Now, how did your father retaliate? He killed my fucking wife!” he chuckled as the door opened and Irene walked in with a glass of beer.

She handed it over to him all the while still avoiding my gaze. I watched as Sandro took a gulp of the beer and nodded in satisfaction.

“Please just let me go” I whimpered.

“Oh, sweetie. You should not interrupt the storytime with pleas. You are going to be saying a whole lot of that very soon so don’t be in a hurry”

More fear gripped me and I felt myself shiver.

“I do not need your storytime!” I braced myself and spoke up. I was going to believe Lucius. I wanted to believe him.

He shot up from his chair and walked out of the room, leaving just Irene and I.

Irene rushed towards me immediately and pulled the tape off my mouth sharply. The pain from the take being pulled off sharply made me lose it all and burst into full tears 11

“Irene! Wh… What did I do to you? W… why are you working with him to get me killed? Did I…”

“Lisa, I can save you. I can talk to Sandro and he will let go of you. I can tell him to lie to Mr. Devine that you are dead so he feels the agony of losing you and then we can leave everything behind and go somewhere else entirely. Start a new life, as lovers or as friends if that’s how you want it. Just… Just tell me that you will go with me”

I felt anger swelling in my heart.

“And why do you think I would want to let Lucius feel agony?” I asked, tears streaming down.

“Because he killed your father! You heard Sandro! Lucius killed your father! You definitely aren’t thinking of loving a man who killed your father, right?”

“I… I don’t believe Lucius killed my father. I don’t believe him and I don’t… Don’t believe you too.’ “!

“Jeez, Lisa! You have to make a quick decision! You have to choose to go with me!”

“No” I shook my head.

“I would rather lose my life” I whispered and just then, we both heard a commotion and then gunshots.

Lucius.

He was here.
