“Please reflect on yourself. If you try to hurt Angel and I again, I will not forgive you next time!!” Monique warned while she looked at Cindy who had been in a mess.
Cindy hated this so much, but it had been ironic as she needed Monique to have saved her.
“I’ll change, I know I’m wrong, I won’t do it again!” Cindy cried miserably as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Even Chief William had been a little moved having seen her pitiful face.
Monique waved her hands, hinting Chief William to let her go.
Chief William noticed Young Master Moore treated this woman differently. She might have been the future Mrs. Chairman, and so he did not dare disobey it.
He raised his hand and gave the officers a signal to have released Cindy. Cindy was held by two officers, but she had been directly thrown to the ground after that, her face had been twisted in pain.
Monique let out a sigh. Since they were colleagues, she really hoped Cindy would then have turned over a new leaf.
She turned around and looked at the tall figure who had been facing his back on her, she felt a little sorry, and pretended he had given consent in silence.
However, Cindy had a murderous look in her eyes when she looked at Monique, like she had been thinking ‘I’ll come back.’
“Thank you for saving me,” Monique ran towards the tall figure and pulled Henry’s sleeves. She tried to have buttered up with a smile, “How did you find me?”
Monique’s short hair had been messy, her cheeks had red and swollen, but she smiled with her best effort.
“…” Henry rolled his eyes when he saw that she had tried to flutter him, so he ignored her.
This place had been a remote one, it probably did not have any hospitals around. He saw a pharmacy before he came up, so he drove straight to it.
When they had arrived at the pharmacy, he swiftly went in to buy a big bag of medicines and materials, then he came out and got in the car. He lifted her arms, and lowered his head to have treated her wounds carefully.
She mesmerizingly looked at him with her dazzling eyes, the man in front of her had an appearance that even a god would have envied, and he had been carefully treating her wound. She felt warmth in her heart, and a lump in her throat.
Henry looked at her swollen face and the tears that had streamed down from the corner of her almond eyes. He thought she had been in pain, so he tried to have been a little more gentle.
“Thank you!” Monique looked at him, the coldness in his eyes lessened, and it looked more calmed. She had then not been so afraid of him anymore.
“You’ll be bullied if you’re too kind, do you understand that! No good deed goes unpunished, do you understand?” Henry nagged her as if she had been a child while he wrapped the bandage. His voice had been deep and magnetic, it had a nice ring to it.
